00:30Seven girls remain.
00:31Who will be eliminated tonight?
01:29She confessed to me that she's bulimic.
01:32And I tried to get her help.
01:34You can tell me I shouldn't do that all you want, but if I feel like I'm still going to do it, I'm never going to be helped.
01:40And she was like, I don't like therapists.
01:41I don't want to go.
01:42And I'm not going to stop doing this, so it doesn't matter.
01:46And I just feel like, you know, like, what else can I do?
01:48It's not like you threw her away, Tyra.
01:50You can only do so much to help a person that is basically lost.
01:55She has to find herself.
01:57She needs to do some soul searching.
01:59She needs to look within to find the strength to get the help that she needs.
02:04So it's okay.
02:15Last elimination, someone on the panel says,
02:17America is not ready to see a plus-size top model.
02:20I'm like, whoa.
02:21My mission here is to break the norm, to let you know that big girls can do high fashion, too.
02:28You know how fat any of these bean and cheese burritos are?
02:30Nah.
02:31Who's this guy?
02:31Where are you going?
02:32Make some cheese on there.
02:33And don't be stingy, okay?
02:35Oh, stop it.
02:36Not today, please.
02:37A lot of the other girls see me as loud and crazy.
02:39But I have feelings.
02:40I have emotions.
02:40I have layers.
02:41Like, one person's in the same all the time.
02:43But this is a competition.
02:45So all my guards are up.
02:46These are actually surprisingly good for you.
02:48Like, there's hardly any carbohydrates in this.
02:50Carbohydrates?
02:50I definitely come from a different place than other people in the house.
02:57I'm not just getting swept up in this superficial world.
03:00Did you ever think that this low-carb fascination is, like, in me?
03:06Yeah, I had her little bitchy, like, attitude.
03:08She thinks she was everything.
03:10I'm seriously, all this talk about low-carb things really annoyed.
03:15I was the first one here and I heard him the door.
03:18Hi, how are you?
03:20Hi, how are you?
03:20Good, thank you.
03:22And I'm like, am I supposed to know who these people are?
03:24My name is Rebecca Weinberg.
03:25I'm a stylist, an Emmy Award-winning stylist.
03:28And I'm Paul Wilmot, and we have a public relations company in New York called Paul Wilmot Communication.
03:33I'm with my colleague, Hampton Kearney, today.
03:35What we'd like to do is we'd like to give you a bit of a tutorial today about image.
03:38We're going to give you some tips on events and so on.
03:41At the same time, you're going to have the opportunity to sit with Rebecca, and she's going to go through a closet with you and really help you create your own look.
03:46And she'll make some suggestions.
03:47Hampton and I are going to start with Yaya.
03:49And I'm going to take Amanda.
03:51Cool.
03:51Good.
03:51I am a very worldly individual.
03:55I just graduated from an Ivy League university, and I feel like I can talk to people about almost anything.
04:00I'm just not sure what kind of conversation is appropriate in this world.
04:04Never think that you know all the answers, because people will like you better, and I think you can take it really far that way.
04:10Pick out your favorite five things.
04:12I just kind of want to get an idea of who you are.
04:15You know, I have to say, when I look at these things, they look a little cheap.
04:20I'm very poor.
04:22But the idea is to take something that's inexpensive and kind of, like, twist it and make it look more than it is.
04:28Why am I even a diva?
04:30You love it.
04:30Everybody freaking says to me that I am a diva.
04:33So, how do I not be a diva?
04:35How do you do that?
04:36By showing the best possible manners to prove that, underneath all, is really a very golden person, a very nice person.
04:43Very earth mother.
04:43I wouldn't mind sticking to that style.
04:46That style.
04:46But it's fine to stick to a style, but it's also, it's like, if you go into a toothpaste ad, are you going to go in a dashiki?
04:54Or are you going to, like, go in a t-shirt and jeans?
04:57In order to be successful, I don't have to conform to these constrained vibes.
05:00Stereotypes.
05:01I see this in general, but when I see you pull out those kinds of things, I see no variety.
05:06Mix it up a little bit.
05:07Maybe by adding a little color.
05:09It's like, I'm the happy ya-ya.
05:11Tell me about you.
05:12I'm not the most proper, et cetera, et cetera.
05:16Even if you're going to say something that may be naughty or something, say it intelligently.
05:20I see a lot of, like, trendy stuff going on here.
05:23Because it's easy.
05:23It's like throwaway clothes.
05:24My clothes are fabulous, Rebecca.
05:27You're BS-ing me.
05:28Takar lacks a little bit of personal style.
05:31I don't see anything really dressy to pull anything out of your closet that's like, wow.
05:34When I look at you, you're just, like, eclectic, comfortable.
05:38Eva needs to broaden her horizons.
05:40These are okay, but they don't say much.
05:42I'd like to see Eva own up to her potential stardom.
05:46I want to see Eva in something that nobody else has.
05:48I'm probably one of the most unique girls here.
05:51I'm legally blind.
05:52You have a unique opportunity for people who are in similar situations to become, you
05:58know, an emblem for success.
06:00Which is, like, so high school.
06:02Girl, you got to grow up.
06:03It's a real style.
06:04It's so youthful that it's childlike.
06:07I don't see anything here that says I can be a sophisticated woman.
06:10I like art.
06:11I like stuff that's not really normal.
06:13It's not really pop culture.
06:14I don't know if that's going to be a problem where I have to, like, act like I like Jessica
06:17Simpson or something.
06:18If you are asked a question about pop culture, you can answer that question that's true to
06:24yourself, but at the same time, you're not being sort of a jerk in front of a reporter.
06:28No negatives.
06:31You're kind of a little bit country, a little bit rock and roll.
06:35I think you need to mix up your wardrobe a little bit more than just what's comfortable
06:39and casual.
06:40I don't see, like, one dress that you could wear on a casting.
06:42I am a full figure model.
06:43I just wanted some feedback on that.
06:45And a lot of the more classical houses are cutting plus sizes.
06:48You should have a wonderful career for yourself.
06:50Absolutely.
06:52You should buy, um, you don't have any dresses, you don't have any skirts.
06:56I know that they have some versatility.
06:58I know that.
06:59But that doesn't mean I'm going to walk around looking like something that I'm not or that
07:02I'm not trying to represent.
07:03They'll see the big hair and they see the African print.
07:05It's like, oh, my God.
07:06I thought it was just something that I wouldn't fit in.
07:07I was like, yeah, that's the whole point.
07:08I'm not trying to fit in.
07:09Hey, girl.
07:10Hey, Becca.
07:12Thanks for you.
07:13Nice time getting to know you.
07:14It'll make good.
07:15Thanks for so much.
07:18Okay.
07:24Tonight we're heading to Uncle Jack's Steakhouse for dinner with the seven of us.
07:30Okay, it's like setting in that there's really only seven of us.
07:33Like, I'm looking around like, where is everyone else?
07:35After last week, my whole, like, outlook on this has changed.
07:40That's nice.
07:40Beautiful.
07:41Best one yet.
07:42As long as I keep improving, I think I have a really good chance to win this.
07:46The seven.
07:47The seven.
07:47The seven.
07:47The seven.
07:48The seven.
07:55Hi, everybody.
07:56Hi, everyone.
07:57We hugs, everybody.
07:58Hey, I'm good.
07:59Miss Tyra pops in and surprises everybody at dinner.
08:02So what's going on?
08:03Actually, I want to taste you guys.
08:05Is that all right?
08:05Yeah.
08:06I'm notorious for this, you guys.
08:08I, like, eat off everybody's plate.
08:10Okay.
08:11What did we really get ourselves into?
08:12Like, how much is this?
08:14Not, like, is this going to change our lives and affect us?
08:16Like, I learned so much and I, like, feel so blessed to be here because there's so many
08:19things about, like, this industry that I had no idea.
08:21See, what you guys are seeing are the criticism that a model gets when she walks out the door.
08:27The only thing is you guys are right there and you hear it.
08:29But as difficult as it is and as hard as it is to hear that criticism, that's so harsh.
08:33You look like a bull.
08:34You look like a linebacker.
08:35But, um, it's a luxury and you guys seem to look at it as, wow, I don't care what people
08:39say about me.
08:40It really does change your life.
08:41Someone said, um, America's not ready for a plus size top model.
08:44Can you give me a comment?
08:46To me, the whole plus size market kind of reminds me of, like, being a black model 40 years
08:50ago, you know, when people were like, America's just not ready for a black supermodel.
08:54They probably were saying that before Beverly Johnson, before Iman, those are like pioneers.
08:58Naomi Sims is another woman.
09:00So you have a lot working against you.
09:02I have a lot working against me, too, even being a black model, even in the new millennium.
09:05So I have to work harder, strive harder.
09:08And as a plus size model, that's trying to make it to the top, you can't be as good as
09:11the girls at this table.
09:12You have to be better than to get the same amount of respect that they get.
09:15I listen to constructive criticism.
09:17I never let it break my spirit.
09:18But I'm working against a lot of odds.
09:21And so I have to be really focused and I have to be on top of myself.
09:23I have to be 100 feet ahead of the rest.
09:31Tire mail!
09:33Like, why is everybody here?
09:34Nicole wants to read it.
09:35Make one up, make one up.
09:37Pack your bags, you have 20 minutes.
09:39And I and Nicole play a practical joke on the house with the tire mail.
09:44Pack your bags, you have 20 minutes to be in.
09:46Yeah!
09:47Oh my God!
09:48Oh my God!
09:50I'm in it!
09:50We have 20 minutes!
09:51It's 20 minutes!
09:52Oh my God!
09:53Are you lying?
09:54Are you lying?
09:55Are you kidding me?
09:56Are you kidding me?
09:57No!
09:58You lying.
09:59Yo ho!
09:59We're going to your house!
10:01Yo ho ho!
10:02They're lying!
10:03We're getting lying!
10:04I'm in it!
10:05I'm in it!
10:06I'm in it!
10:07We're funny.
10:08The whole house is so pissed.
10:11Peace!
10:13Won, y'all!
10:14Like, seriously?
10:15Coming into this competition, I did not realize that I was going to feel like I was in junior
10:19high school.
10:20I'm going to stop for the lot of me, sorry!
10:21No one wants to have fun around here.
10:23Our entire male wreaths get ready for a 21st Century red carpet ride.
10:30We end up going to Century 21 Ed Department store.
10:40Yay!
10:41So we arrived and Rebecca Weinberg is waiting for us.
10:44All right, ladies.
10:45Welcome to Century 21.
10:46This is like the best shopping place ever.
10:48Century 21 is where you can find big designers for ridiculously cheap.
10:53Here's the challenge, right?
10:55You've got to put together a head-to-toe look for a daytime event.
10:58You're going to have 15 minutes to pull your looks together.
11:01This store's got amazing stuff.
11:02Like, oh my God, this is so great.
11:03They got all these clothes and all these designers.
11:05I'm like, wow, I'm about to have a field day.
11:07Go!
11:16Rebecca says that I need to, like, have dressy clothes, so I'm just going to focus on that.
11:21Oh, I look like a belly freak!
11:23I took my conversation with Rebecca as just that conversation, not how I had to present myself in order to be successful.
11:30I've been successful without compromising.
11:32It took me forever to find my socks.
11:39I didn't want to blow off the competition, but it was really a downer.
11:45I was a little worried about Takara because her pace was very slow.
11:49Whereas the other girls were from one end of the room to the other.
11:53Three, two, time's up right now!
11:57What you have is what you'll wear.
11:59You've got a limo coming for you.
12:01Let's go.
12:02Come on.
12:03You have very little time.
12:04We have to go home, get ready for our daytime event.
12:06It's, like, frustrating.
12:09Dresses, either they were body thin or they were, like, big cloth.
12:12I know what you mean.
12:13I do feel sorry for Takara.
12:15To buy the same token, you've got to step it up.
12:18It was fashionable.
12:19It was fashionable.
12:20It was good.
12:21Eva is very sweet.
12:22She's turned out to really be optimistic about me.
12:29And that was very helpful.
12:32We're not sure where we're going yet.
12:37Pull up in a limo.
12:38Walk in.
12:39Eva!
12:40Eva!
12:41Eva!
12:42And it's a red carpet event.
12:43Eva!
12:44Eva!
12:45Eva!
12:46I swear by screaming your name and taking a picture of the one you look here and look there.
12:50And it's a big screen with my face up there.
12:52Hi, Eva.
12:53Hi, sweetie.
12:54Do you have a few moments?
12:55Sure.
12:56So who are you wearing today?
12:57You look fantastic.
12:58Valentino.
12:59Who's the most annoying girl in the group?
13:01What kind of freaking questions are those?
13:03Paul and Hampton have already prepped me on how to answer those questions.
13:06Everyone's equally annoying.
13:07You should never disclose a name.
13:09You never do anything to pinpoint anyone.
13:11That's fantastic.
13:12Thank you very much.
13:14I was not prepared for what we walked into.
13:18And there were just flashes, flashes, flashes.
13:21And I was like, wow.
13:22Who are you wearing?
13:23I'm wearing mostly Moschino today.
13:25Who's the person you have the biggest problem with in the house?
13:27I don't have a problem with anyone.
13:29Great.
13:30Thank you very much.
13:32So you look great.
13:37Who are you wearing?
13:38This is a Moschino jacket.
13:40Meaning who would you say the people you don't click with quite as much?
13:43Um...
13:44Her name is...
13:45Yeah, yeah.
13:46Not that we don't click.
13:47She's just kind of standoffish.
13:48Narelle gave a name.
13:49It could make her look bad.
13:50Thank you very much.
13:51Are the moments when you want to give up or scream at someone?
13:53For sure.
13:54Anyone in particular?
13:55That's confidential.
13:56Great.
13:57Thank you very much.
13:58Thank you very much.
13:59Who are you wearing?
14:00Jackets, the weather.
14:01Purse.
14:02Valentina.
14:03And have you seen yourself on the big screen?
14:04No, I have not.
14:05That's a first.
14:06Have you had any fights with anyone?
14:07There hasn't really been anyone that I've, you know, butted heads with.
14:08Who's wasn't the most tension in the house?
14:09You can't really pin it on one specific person.
14:10Thank you very much.
14:11Thank you very much.
14:12Who are you wearing?
14:13Jackets, the weather.
14:14Purse.
14:15Valentina.
14:16And have you seen yourself on the big screen?
14:17No, I have not.
14:18That's a first.
14:19Have you had any fights with anyone?
14:20There hasn't really been anyone that I've, you know, butted heads with.
14:25Who's wasn't the most tension in the house?
14:26You can't really pin it on one specific person.
14:27Thank you very much.
14:29I'm wearing Jean Paul.
14:30God.
14:31God.
14:32God.
14:33God.
14:34For Takara, she didn't know how to pronounce Jean Paul Gaultier.
14:36And that's really important.
14:38It makes you look very silly.
14:39Thank you very much.
14:41Take care.
14:42Take care.
14:43Take care.
14:44Take care.
14:45Take care.
14:46Take care.
14:47Take care.
14:48Take care.
14:49Take care.
14:50Take care.
14:51Take care.
14:52Take care.
14:53Take care.
14:54Yeah, I'm like, what do you mean is it not? She was funny though. She was trying to read you boy. I said your name in mine. What did you say? I said, yeah, yeah, it has a wall built up, which is understandable.
15:09And I wasn't really surprised because I see her as being very flaky. I just never made a connection with her. Hello, everyone. Well, it's been really great meeting you and seeing you at work. I've seen many red carpets and it's a scary place. But Eva, you did very well. You look great. You walked down the runway really nicely.
15:30Narelle, you were the only one to name names. You don't want to be seen as bitchy. Manda, you obviously loved being on the red carpet. You posed very well. Yaya, you, again, another person who really enjoyed the red carpet. I detected a definite diva attitude there, which sometimes comes across badly.
15:47Yaya, she had diva syndrome, which translated as a bitch.
15:51Takara, if you're a model and you can't pronounce the name of the person who's designed your clothes, it's not good.
15:56Nikah, you've got a lovely smile. You didn't quite give across your whole personality. And you looked great, moved very well, posed very well. So on to the good stuff. The person who did the best today is Yaya.
16:10Oh! She wins. You see this face? This is a confused face. So she's won three in a row. Are you kidding? It feels good to win. I want to be America's Next Top Model.
16:22You've got a surprise waiting for you back at the house. And you just need now to choose one other person to enjoy that surprise with you.
16:30No doubt. Because she thinks, I don't know why she thinks that. I don't understand. But I, you know, I picked her just to make her feel, you know, like a more approachable or warmer. So thanks very much. Bye.
16:41Hi. Hi. I'm Brian. This is Mark. Hi. Hi there.
16:49Eva. Yaya. Hi. Hi, everybody.
16:51Who's the winner? Can we have a winner in here?
16:54Your prize tonight is some personal chefing from New Kitchen.
17:00Yaya's prize is dinner from New Kitchen.
17:03These boys that, like, come to your house and cook this fabulous, like, healthy dish.
17:07All right, ladies. Bon appétit.
17:10I said today that I feel like you have a wall built up, but I understand where you're coming from just because this is a competition and maybe that you don't want to get too close to people.
17:20Maybe it is a wall.
17:21I know with nine blocks, that's spelled out competition.
17:25And, like, just because I know that we're all reaching for the same goal, I don't have a lot of talent for fakeness.
17:30You're the one person here that I think has, I can use the word growth, you know what I mean?
17:35I don't hear you speak that much, but when I hear you speak, you say profound things.
17:39We understood where we're coming from, which I'm so glad that we got to do just because I had nothing of Yaya and now I have a little something.
17:45Oh.
17:45Tomorrow we'll be draped in the finest silk in the world.
17:52Be ready to leave at eight in the morning.
18:02Hello.
18:03Hello.
18:04So, the competition is getting tough.
18:07Today, we are going right back in to beauty shots, but we want to do something else.
18:12So, we have diamonds today.
18:15Yay!
18:17Yes.
18:17Today, we have the Veragio Platinum Collection.
18:20So, I just want you to introduce you to a photographer.
18:22His name is Bill Diodato.
18:23Come out here, Bill.
18:24So, what do you think?
18:25They're a pretty bunch.
18:26Gorgeous.
18:27Okay, cool.
18:28We'll start.
18:31I'm ready to go.
18:32I'm ready to work this.
18:32This is going to be absolutely fun.
18:34Fabulous.
18:35F-A-T-O.
18:36Why were you, I'd be in the mirror practicing your face right now.
18:37I'm ready for my hair.
18:39I wouldn't worry about hair.
18:40I'd worry about giving a beautiful face.
18:41Trust me.
18:42I was so excited.
18:43It's actually easier to do a beauty shot to me because it's like, hey, look at me.
18:47It's my face.
18:48It's so easy, you know.
18:52So, that's really pretty.
18:53Okay, let's take it on set.
18:55Hey, guys.
18:56I need to talk to all of you at once.
18:58So, to make sure this doesn't look like a typical jewelry ad, we do have someone else for you to pose with today.
19:03And you're shot.
19:04So, can we have our other person?
19:09Yeah.
19:11Is it her or the spider?
19:14The tarantula.
19:15The tarantula is very safe, but we do have EMS on the side.
19:19What do you mean it's very safe?
19:20Why would you have to have EMS on the side?
19:21We have EMS here all the time.
19:23I don't like spiders.
19:24I don't want them to touch me.
19:25I don't want to be near them.
19:26This is a horrible phobia I've always had.
19:28I'm really iffy right now.
19:37You ready, Nicole?
19:38No, he's totally eating.
19:39When Jake said there was going to be a tarantula, I was scared.
19:42It's petrifying.
19:43It's so scary.
19:46No, no, no.
19:46You got to go.
19:48Really badass Miss Eva couldn't handle it.
19:51No, I don't think she's the toughest and baddest of us all.
19:53She's just the loudest.
19:54Relax, keep your eyes at me.
19:56I know it's hard right now.
19:58That's perfect.
19:59Flawless.
20:00Don't move.
20:03Fantastic.
20:04Nicole was really a pleasure to shoot today.
20:0650% of her frames were amazing.
20:08And for any top model, that's a feat.
20:10Got it.
20:11Okay, yeah, we got it.
20:12Fantastic.
20:14Your bite is on top.
20:16Oh, it might.
20:17Oh, it's a little better.
20:18You think I'm scared?
20:19That's right.
20:20A stupid spider is not going to stop me from pursuing my dreams.
20:24Can we talk about something else?
20:26Eva's like flipping out like a child with her fit.
20:28Hello, McFry.
20:29Like, stay focused.
20:31Left.
20:32Left.
20:35Come on.
20:41Gorgeous.
20:41Nice work.
20:42That's what we're looking for.
20:44You definitely have some really great options.
20:47Relax that hand.
20:47Relax that hand.
20:49Do I look stiff?
20:50I want to just try something that brings a little more life, a little more movement.
20:53Relax that make me shine.
20:55Relax that golden diamond ring.
20:58Fantastic.
20:58Done.
20:59We got it.
20:59I liked this.
21:01Where we were going with this.
21:02Oh, I love that shot.
21:04Ah, spiders, spiders.
21:07Get it off of me.
21:08Can I open my eye without the spider claw going in my cornea?
21:12Amanda, if you hold still, the spider won't put its finger in your eyes.
21:14You just have to open them up.
21:15I don't know.
21:17I don't know what to tell you, Ajay.
21:18I don't think that's working.
21:19A little less friendly, Amanda.
21:22Getting a little commercial looking now.
21:24Close your mouth.
21:25You know, Amanda struggled today up that close.
21:29I don't know if Amanda is a beauty girl.
21:32I've been waiting for that.
21:33Thank you, Amanda.
21:35Oh, yeah, it's tangled.
21:37Eva's already crying.
21:39You all right?
21:41I think we only have one spider fatality today.
21:44Let's just hope the spider doesn't think the last is his partner.
21:47She has a face I've never seen before today.
21:50Panic's trip in.
21:51I'm so sorry, Ajay.
21:53I'm sorry.
21:53To see her crying over something like a spider, it makes diva Eva seem human.
22:07A little more energy, hon.
22:08A little more energy.
22:09She just does not feel comfortable at all.
22:11I'm not seeing anything.
22:13More.
22:13Turn to me more.
22:14If you want to be America's next top model, you've got to focus.
22:17Norell is just not comfortable with beauty.
22:19She only feels comfortable with a face full of makeup and a camera pulled off from her.
22:23Done.
22:26More.
22:27Good.
22:27More, more, more.
22:28This way.
22:29It's the easy, easy spider.
22:32Wide eyes.
22:33Bigger eyes.
22:33Bigger eyes.
22:35You don't want them too big.
22:36Great.
22:38Okay, open your eyes.
22:39Right here at me.
22:41And Karra had great energy.
22:42A definite sweetheart.
22:43Not a great beauty girl.
22:46That's it, love.
22:46You're done.
22:47That's the most fierce that she's loved.
22:49Look at their faces.
22:50Go read.
22:51Go read them.
22:52That's it.
22:53I mean, I did the best I could.
22:56Great.
22:57Not too wide-eyed.
22:59More alive.
23:00Focus, focus.
23:01Great.
23:01Let's bring that spider down a little bit.
23:03There's not enough behind the eyes.
23:05Don't force it.
23:06Don't force it.
23:07And help me help you overcome this.
23:09Because I'm totally at a loss.
23:11Think of something other than sitting in front of that camera.
23:15Real alive.
23:16Gorgeous.
23:16Bill, look at this.
23:18Very good.
23:19When you get there, it's staying there.
23:21It's so beautiful.
23:21Gorgeous eyes.
23:22Fantastic.
23:24And we shot 125 frames.
23:26You don't want to have to shoot that many frames to get the shot.
23:29Yeah, we're good.
23:30She's consistently flat on film.
23:32How are you, Eva, with the tarantula?
23:34How do you feel about it?
23:35I'm just going to get this going, huh?
23:36Most likely going to be the most.
23:37I'm definitely afraid.
23:38She's very, very nervous about this.
23:40Can we move the spider onto her hand?
23:46Relax your hand for a second more.
23:47Relax.
23:48Let's get some blood back in there.
23:49This is great.
23:50Really?
23:52Can we get a tissue for her, please?
23:53Spider comes off.
23:54I just start crying.
23:55And I was not finished with the shoot.
23:56I wasn't even halfway done yet.
23:58Tears?
23:59Let me fix it.
24:00Let me fix it.
24:01Can we move the light so I can see your face?
24:04I'm so sorry.
24:05Probably about five more minutes in, we'll be done.
24:07Yeah, cool.
24:08You ready to shoot a little more?
24:10Okay.
24:11You just keep those up.
24:12Ready?
24:13I'm going to stop.
24:13You can use me the whole time, okay?
24:14No worries about it, okay?
24:16Gorgeous.
24:17Can't miss.
24:18Gorgeous.
24:18Can you move the spider, please?
24:20This is what it takes to be a pro, huh?
24:23Fantastic.
24:24Hey, Bill?
24:25Yeah.
24:25Might as well take her out of that torture.
24:26She's having a tough time.
24:28All right, yeah.
24:29She could get cut because of this.
24:32I'm proud of myself at the fact that I got through it.
24:36I'm disappointed that I showed the vulnerability.
24:45How you doing?
24:46Oh, mother, I had a day.
24:48I had to do a challenge with a tarantula.
24:51Oh, mom, it was horrible.
24:54Oh, sweetie.
24:56I know.
24:56And I just, I want to get home because of it, you know?
25:00Honestly, for as hard ass as Eva comes off to be, I was really surprised that she was crying
25:04so much about the spider.
25:05Getting down to it and any mistake you make, you know, it could be the end of it and it's,
25:10I don't know, it's just so frustrating.
25:12Eva is really stressing.
25:13She's worried that her inability to perform with a spider on her face is going to send her
25:17home, so I don't think that she really is cut out to be America's next top model.
25:21I allowed it to get to me, you know, because I don't let nothing get to me.
25:25I just feel like I just let myself slip, you know?
25:27I'm actually vulnerable at this point.
25:29I may be going home.
25:37Just tired now.
25:38Tomorrow you meet with the judges.
25:40Someone's going home, guys.
25:42I think everybody is a little iffy about tomorrow, so.
25:46I was really a little down, you know, during the week, but I'm still going to be me and
25:50I'm still going to be fabulous.
25:50I'm still going to give it all that I have.
25:53How Dave's not mad at me?
25:54I was such a putt, I feel like.
25:56I don't know how my pictures are going to turn out.
25:58I'm so sorry.
25:59I don't know if my figure is going to project and it's just so upsetting.
26:01I just don't feel good.
26:03Like, it was so strange because he called me over there.
26:04I'd worry about giving a beautiful face, trust me.
26:07I thought he was going to call me ugly or stupid or something.
26:09I'm going to be nervous tonight at panel just because if I have a bad picture, I feel like
26:13I would be the one going home.
26:14Hey, girls.
26:25Hey, guys.
26:26Now it's time to make our eighth cut, which will bring us one step closer to finding out
26:31who will become America's next top model.
26:34We have some amazing prizes, a modeling contract with the top international modeling agency,
26:40Ford Models, a photo spread in Elle magazine shot by a world-renowned photographer, Gilles
26:45Ben-Simon, and a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl Cosmetics.
26:51Now it's time for me to introduce our panel of judges.
26:54Janice Dickinson.
26:55Janice is the world's first supermodel ever to exist on this planet.
26:59First.
27:00Nigel Barker, a noted fashion photographer.
27:02Nolay Marin, a prominent fashion editor and stylist.
27:05We have our special guest judge, Rebecca Weinberg.
27:08Good to see you all again.
27:10Who is a celebrity stylist extraordinaire.
27:13Now it's time for your individual evaluations.
27:15And Rebecca is going to administer your test.
27:17Okay, girls, here are five different options of hats.
27:21You're going to pick one of these hats.
27:24Each one of them representing a different style.
27:27Choose one, and you'll have ten minutes to build your image around your hat of choice.
27:32Go.
27:32Go.
27:35Go.
27:35Go.
27:35Go.
27:35Go.
27:35Go.
27:35Go.
27:36Go.
27:36Go.
27:36Go.
27:36Go.
27:36Go.
27:37Go.
27:37Go.
27:38Go.
27:39Go.
27:40Go.
27:41Go.
27:42Go.
27:43Go.
27:44Go.
27:45Go.
27:46Go.
27:47Go.
27:47Go.
27:49Go.
27:50Go.
27:51So you chose the motorcycle hat and then you wanted a tiara, too.
27:55You were like this, I was like, whoa, OK.
27:58You got scared.
27:59I did kind of get scared.
28:00It seemed almost like you were putting on a bit of an act.
28:03Too fantasy.
28:04It's not fashion.
28:05You had a photo shoot.
28:06It was for diamonds.
28:07And you were accessorized with a live tarantula.
28:10Here is your best shot.
28:13That's a live bug.
28:14Wow.
28:15This photograph doesn't look anything like you. You really transform.
28:19No doubt you've got the power to be a good beauty model.
28:21It looks more like an album cover.
28:22You're right, I see a recording artist.
28:24You should sing like this.
28:28Takara.
28:29Takara, I don't really understand.
28:31You look like you didn't do anything other than stick a hat on your head.
28:33See, you could have come out as Takara like,
28:35Eee-haw, honey, and shown us that Takara personality of yours.
28:39Are you with me on this?
28:41I hear you.
28:41You hear me, but do you understand?
28:43I agree, I'm just soaking it in. I'll take it.
28:45She's taking it.
28:46Here is your best shot.
28:48The tarantula is taking over the face and the jewelry.
28:51It's like a big hairy mole, a tarantula mole.
28:54It's a great shot. It's like a spider.
28:56Yeah.
28:57How'd you feel with the live tarantula walking all over your gorgeous face?
29:01It was a great experience.
29:03That's it? Where are you?
29:04Pull it out! What the hell happened?
29:05You're not here.
29:06I am here. I had a good time.
29:09Something's weird.
29:09Yeah.
29:10You checked out.
29:10How many times have I told you, you're vivacious, you're great, I want to see that.
29:13And when you come in here and you're like, the picture's nice.
29:16The experience was lovely.
29:17You need to install the personality chip back into you.
29:20Okay.
29:21Next we have Amanda.
29:23This is a drop-dead look.
29:25Very Annie Lennox.
29:26It's really a good look for you.
29:27I think from head to toe, you're a perfection.
29:29I like the contrast.
29:30I like the torn jean.
29:32Absolutely.
29:32With the shirt.
29:33Like, I'm feeling like a star.
29:35Here's your best shot.
29:36Not your best shot.
29:38It's a very old-fashioned looking picture, too.
29:40That's what I was going to say, Amanda.
29:41It has an old glamour, but what's wrong is that you look very stiff.
29:44You look like you're fakely peeking through your fingers.
29:47Anne.
29:48Yeehaw Annie.
29:50What image are you trying to portray?
29:51Just my own personal image, I guess.
29:53It's just me.
29:54For me, this whole thing is actually somewhat of a disaster.
29:56From top to bottom.
29:57Is your t-shirt dirty?
29:58Your lack of interest with clothing, it's so apparent.
30:03The skirt is hideous.
30:05You should really throw it out.
30:06And the Ugg boot, you could take those and put that with the skirt.
30:09Yeah, yeah, yeah, they're over.
30:10You don't really give a damn.
30:11And it shows.
30:12Here's your best shot.
30:14You have a beautiful shaped face, but for some reason, I'm just not drawn to it.
30:18I think you're gorgeous, but it's more than being gorgeous.
30:21It's also about modelling, and this isn't so much modelling.
30:23This is just being there and being gorgeous.
30:26The photographer, he said that your eyes were dead,
30:27and that you only had one shot.
30:30Only one shot?
30:31That is so not good, Anne.
30:33Norelle?
30:34I think this is a classic hat, and I feel like I'm a classic beauty.
30:38Norelle, I think this is actually the prettiest I've seen you.
30:41You really look lovely.
30:42You need to learn how to wear the clothes.
30:45You need to come through.
30:46Red lip and some attitude, I think, could have taken it to the next level.
30:50Here's your best shot.
30:51You've got some power in your eyes.
30:53Be nice to see your lips a little bit more relaxed.
30:55Your mouth is just really, really tense, and sometimes it's about parting it a little,
31:00just open a little bit to take that away.
31:03All right, Eva, so why did you choose the motorcycle hat?
31:05Because I love leather, and it's a little more edgy and a little more risque.
31:09This does not look like a model at all.
31:11It looks too cheap.
31:12Combining that cute top with that sort of trashy type of skirt, it doesn't look chic.
31:17It kind of looks like a go-go dancer on the way home from a night out.
31:21Here's your best shot.
31:23Wow.
31:23Work it.
31:25If I was looking at this in a magazine, I think you totally nailed it,
31:28because I would want to know who those rings were from.
31:31I'm giving this a 10.
31:32What do you think about it?
31:33I saw you.
31:33I am amazed.
31:34I was petrified of this fighter.
31:37Try posing on live crocodile, honey.
31:38Well, you know, well done.
31:39It's about getting the shot.
31:41Yaya.
31:42Excuse me.
31:43Why did you choose the cowboy hat?
31:44It's more on the simple side compared to the other hat,
31:47so that I can go crazy with accessories and express myself without being cliché.
31:51Yaya, I think you look beautiful.
31:52I think everyone probably pegged you as going for the typical African hat.
31:56Yaya, you're, I feel, half African, half cowgirl.
31:59Looks like you're about to ride a giraffe.
32:01I think I'm not feeling it.
32:03You have this intensity to prove your sort of African-ness,
32:06and I think that sometimes it's overbearing.
32:08It's just too much.
32:09It's sort of a layer on top of a layer.
32:11In response to trying to prove myself as an African,
32:15that's just where I come from.
32:16It's very natural to me,
32:17and I did not choose that hat for the very specific reason that it's very cliché.
32:22The fabric that it's made from is very artificial, very cheap.
32:26Fake kente.
32:27Yaya.
32:27I didn't have the time.
32:28I know I'm running on.
32:29There's a different way of explaining yourself and being defensive,
32:31and you're being very defensive, and it's not attractive.
32:34Just because we had a talk about, you know, Afro-centricity before,
32:37and it's kind of misunderstood.
32:39I'm all about, like, expressing yourself in your culture,
32:42but it's still done in a fashion way.
32:44You want your outfit to be, look at me,
32:46and this outfit is, look over there.
32:48Here's your best shot.
32:50See, that's a star.
32:51Yaya, they want to look at me.
32:52Gorgeous.
32:53That.
32:54That's the best picture.
32:55Selling jewelry.
32:56Do you see how inspired the panel is by looking at that?
32:58Absolutely.
32:58It's because it's aspirational,
33:00and it's very difficult to look like that.
33:02Not every girl on the street can look like that,
33:04but every girl on the street can look like this.
33:06Mm-hmm.
33:06There you go.
33:07Model, model, model.
33:09Takara.
33:10Takara has become a shell.
33:12She's become a ghost of her original self.
33:14When we first met her,
33:15she had this massive, bubbly personality
33:17which went along with her physique
33:18and everything else about her,
33:19and now she's just checked out.
33:21Takara is an incredibly beautiful girl.
33:24She has a great face,
33:25and when you shoot her, it's flawless.
33:27Takara has the potential to be a star.
33:30For some reason, today,
33:31she walked in here and gave up.
33:34No rep.
33:34In this image,
33:36I think that she was really trying.
33:38I think she still hasn't mastered it, though.
33:40In pictures,
33:41I think she does have something special.
33:42She's photogenic.
33:43The camera likes her face.
33:45Eva.
33:45Eva slam dunked this shoot.
33:47It's an amazing image.
33:49She's flawless,
33:50except for her hands,
33:51which really look like baseball mitts.
33:53Yaya.
33:53This girl is an ad campaign winner.
33:56And in this photo,
33:57it's kind of like a chocolate Barbarella
33:59with the hair.
34:00Yaya takes a beautiful picture effortlessly.
34:02She's bringing something from inside.
34:04But the other thing that Yaya brings from inside
34:06that is so ugly
34:07is that superiority,
34:09condescending attitude.
34:11Oops.
34:11Nicole is supposed to be selling beautiful jewelry,
34:15and she didn't pull it off in this picture.
34:17Nicole does take really beautiful pictures,
34:18but a lot of the times,
34:19to me,
34:19it's just a beautiful picture.
34:21I'm not sure she has anything
34:22that really can read as a star
34:23in terms of personality.
34:25Anne.
34:26Anne seems to be almost incapable
34:27of taking a good picture.
34:28She's not interested in her self-image.
34:31She doesn't give a damn.
34:32And it showed tonight.
34:33I think Anne's run is over for me.
34:35She's out.
34:36Amanda.
34:36Amanda is dead in this photograph.
34:38There's nothing coming through the eye.
34:39I think Amanda's resting on pretty.
34:41She needs to step up her gate.
34:42Or else she'll go.
34:44Bye-bye.
34:44Bye-bye.
34:49There are seven beautiful young ladies
34:52standing in front of me.
34:53But I only have six photos in my hands.
34:56And these photos represent the six of you
34:58that will still be in the running
34:59towards becoming America's next top model.
35:02The first name that I'm going to call?
35:05Nicole.
35:07Wow.
35:07Congratulations.
35:10You're still in the running
35:11towards becoming America's next top model.
35:14Eva.
35:16I want to commend you on this photo
35:17because you said that you were crying.
35:19I cannot see this on that picture.
35:22Good job.
35:24Amanda.
35:27Amanda, this look is red carpet star.
35:30This picture is lukewarm.
35:32Yeah, yeah.
35:36Yeah, yeah, this picture is stunning.
35:38I mean, this is amazing.
35:40But what's not amazing is your appearance.
35:43Think a little bit more glamour
35:44as opposed to natural
35:45because this is glamorous
35:46and this is amazing.
35:48Congratulations.
35:49You're still in the running
35:49towards becoming America's next top model.
35:51And I just wanted to say
35:52I'm sorry for being defensive
35:53when you gave me.
35:54I totally took in everything.
35:55I really mean it.
35:57I'm still outside of myself.
35:59Well, that was the other critique
36:00that I was going to give you
36:01that I forgot.
36:02So come right back.
36:03You need to apologize
36:04to the fake Kente cloth African hat.
36:07Yaya, it was like you were on this pedestal
36:09and this hat smelled like dookie.
36:11You're insulting the person
36:13that chose that hat.
36:14All you had to do was say,
36:15no, that wasn't my style.
36:16It was a little obvious.
36:17It was very insulting.
36:18And in this industry,
36:19there's going to be people
36:20that really are sensitive
36:21and word will spread
36:22and no one will ever want to work with you.
36:24I understand that and I apologize.
36:26No real.
36:29For someone that is looking
36:30so surprised and shocked,
36:32you sure did have a nice smile
36:33on your face.
36:33I'm just blessed to be here.
36:35Blessed to be here
36:36and thought you were going home
36:36so you're going to put a smile
36:37on your face.
36:39Congratulations.
36:39Thank you very much.
36:42Will Takara and Anne
36:43please step forward.
36:47I have one photo in my hands
36:49and this one photo represents
36:51the girl that will continue
36:52on the running
36:52towards becoming
36:53America's next top model.
36:54The girl that I do not call
36:56must immediately return
36:58to the apartment,
36:59pack your belongings
36:59and leave.
37:02The modeling industry
37:03is not just about beauty.
37:04It's about drive.
37:06Takara, I knew from day one
37:08that you wanted this.
37:10That this was something
37:11that you lived
37:12and breathed
37:14and was F-A-B-O.
37:16I am fabulous
37:17and I want this so bad.
37:20Anne,
37:21I saw a competitor in you.
37:24I saw someone
37:26that wants to win.
37:27Someone that's like,
37:28you know what,
37:28I might not be great at this,
37:30but I'm going to conquer
37:30this damn thing.
37:32Right now,
37:32neither of you
37:34look like models.
37:37Neither of you
37:37even look like models
37:39in the making.
37:40You both failed miserably.
37:43We can't send two of you home
37:45because maybe one of you
37:46wants it a little bit more
37:47than the other.
37:52Anne.
37:53Congratulations.
37:56You're still in the running
37:57towards becoming
37:58America's next top model.
38:00Please, Takara.
38:02Good luck, girl.
38:03Good luck.
38:04Bye, mama.
38:10Bye, y'all.
38:12Work it.
38:16I honestly believe
38:18that I should be here
38:18for the final three,
38:20but I'm proud of myself.
38:21I'm the largest girl
38:23to get here,
38:24and I made it this far.
38:25Someone has to start
38:26to break the barrier,
38:27so hopefully the next
38:28plus-size girl
38:28that comes along,
38:29she makes it
38:30a little bit further.
38:31It's going to take time.
38:32It doesn't happen overnight,
38:33but I'm just grateful
38:34that maybe I made a path
38:36for someone else.
38:37Stay tuned for scenes
38:50from our next episode.
38:54Here's what's coming up
38:55on America's next top model.
38:57Am I saying these things
38:58to be like cocky?
38:59Yaya's winning streak
39:00comes an issue in the house.
39:01Just because you won
39:03three challenges
39:04doesn't mean you're going to win,
39:05and I don't think in any way
39:06is that an advantage.
39:07Then there's a class
39:07with an actor to die for.
39:09Hey, Dick!
39:10And a nurse
39:11with a special announcement.
39:13Pack your bags, girl.
39:14It's because you're going to...
