Enlan does 600 with a 150 grit edge
Transcript
00:00Alright, one NLAN EL06. I think yesterday we did a 3000 grit edge and we
00:14only did 200 slices for a fail. So right now we've got a hundred and fifty grit
00:23edge. Oh that's gritty but it slices paper. So let's see what a hundred and fifty
00:35grit edge can do alright. So 150 grit versus 3000 grit.
00:53Okay.
01:00Okay.
01:04Okay.
01:09Okay.
01:12Okay.
01:15Okay.
01:19Okay, you're not going to do it, you're not going to do it, you're not going to do it.
01:49Okay, you're not going to do it.
02:19Okay, you're not going to do it.
02:49Okay, so I think that's 600 slices.
02:56All I wanted to do was prove that on crappy steel, put a gritty edge on it and get some performance. That's all I wanted to prove.
03:10Okay, so it's 600 slices. We're finally getting a little bit of drag there. Okay, we've got ourselves a little draggy spot there.
03:31All right, still went through. But 600 freaking slices when it failed at 200 with a 3000 grid edge.
03:47So, over-refining an edge sometimes is pointless because the steel just can't support it.
03:57So, this NLAN has never performed before. Now all of a sudden with a 150 grid diamond cut edge, it's doing 600 slices.
04:08So, this NLAN has never been done. So, this is a little bit of draggy spot.
