My 2nd Flissa 9 scandi put to the rope .
Transcript
00:00Alright, this is a Fleezer. $23.80 in Australian Bananas. It is full Scandi but I had to clean that edge up because there was quite a bit of factory burring and factory burring is a bit of a no-no so
00:30pretty reasonable factory edge I think. They've done a decent job with this one. We can see it's a pretty decent thickness on the blade. So I don't know, I think the Fleezers have been tested but it's my second one so we're going to run it on the rope with the factory edge that's been very gently cleaned up for the burr.
00:58So, let's see what happens eh?
01:28Like it.
01:31Like it.
01:37You can All Access?
01:40You can leave it.
01:43The Car and
02:14Seems to be a bit of a roll there or something.
02:44So we are definitely, definitely, I think there's a roll going on.
02:58My fingernail is catching something.
03:05My fingernail is catching something.
03:16But slices without any problems.
03:19So there's definitely something going on with that edge.
03:22But it is slicing paper like there's no tomorrow.
03:27So let's see if we can get out of here.
03:42I can't feel it now.
04:09Yeah, no problems there.
04:19So whatever was there has come and gone.
04:23Come and gone.
04:35What?
04:45Oh.
04:49Oh.
05:01Okay.
05:03We are going through that time.
05:15Okay.
05:16We are going through that time.
05:29that booboo that's there is what's catching on the paper. It could be, since I'm catching
05:39it both ways, it could be the apex chipped a little bit. I think there's a chip in the
05:50steel. That's what it feels like. The steel might have just a little U-shaped little chip
05:57in there. I can't see it with the naked eye, but I can feel it with the fingernail. Definitely
06:04it's catching on the paper there.
06:27I can't see it. I'm not sure. I can't see it. What's a cool one?
06:34I can't see it. I can't see it. I can't see it. I can't see it. I can't see it.
06:43I don't know.
07:13I don't know how many slices have I done, I don't know, I'm going to do 50 more and then I'm going to call it because, I don't know, you know, $23.80 and it's not bad for $23.80.
07:43Well, if it wasn't for that little chip, you couldn't feel anything, honestly.
08:11Honestly, that little chip there is what I feel on the paper, but other than that, it's just not slowing down on the paper at all.
08:25I don't know how much we've done there, but it's barely slowed down except for the little chip.
08:41I don't know how many slices have I done.
08:45I don't know how many slices have I done.
08:49I don't know if that's what I've done.
08:53They're getting home, it's obviously a little bit more.
08:56They're getting home.
08:57I don't know if that's what's happening.
08:59I don't know if that's what I've done.
09:01Alright, it's got a reasonably crisp blade on it, so let's see how bad it is at being bushcrafted.
09:31That's superb.
09:49Oh wow, just absolutely.
09:59Look at that.
10:06Oh, that's really crispy on the wood.
10:10That really is just slicing.
10:14Really good control, very nice.
10:17Oh, that's absolutely just really nice.
10:29That is just so nice on the wood.
10:35I suppose the reason why people like Scandi I suppose.
10:39Okay, not very crispy.
10:53Gum tree can be a bit hard compared to some softwoods out there in Europe.
11:00I don't know if we've got enough stuff there or not.
11:22It's got to do it in the right place I suppose.
11:37It's very nice on the ferro rod.
11:38Not very good on the wood but very good on the ferro rod.
11:44It's got to do it in the right place I suppose.
11:49It's very nice on the ferro rod.
11:51Not very good on the wood but very good on the ferro rod.
