00:00First of all, Colombia's $200 million settlement has been called a turning point.
00:05Do you see it as proof that the government is finally taking campus anti-Semitism seriously?
00:10Michael, it's great to be with you.
00:12And I have to start out by sharing that Columbia University is my alma mater.
00:16And Colombia is also where this pro-Hamas movement encampments on American campuses started two years ago.
00:24And so this is a real victory for the Trump administration.
00:29And finally forcing the hand of the Columbia University administration to take action against these student agitators,
00:39which often crossed the line into harassment and violence against Jewish students,
00:46but also even folks who worked at the university.
00:49There were a lot of staff members who were victims in the midst of all this.
00:55And certainly there was a creation of a very hostile environment against Jewish students at Columbia University.
01:02Many Jewish students wound up having to hide their Jewish identity just to be able to safely walk across the campus at Columbia.
01:09And so I think that this is, in fact, a turning point, a real breakthrough.
01:14And it sends a very loud signal to other universities across America that the Trump administration means business.
01:21They're not going to tolerate any anti-Semitism on U.S. campuses.
