00:00But I just want to ask you, I mean, President Trump, even before he took office the first time, was in favor, it seems, of Brexit, for example.
00:08You know, a country important like the United Kingdom leaving the European Union.
00:13And a lot of people questioned that at the time.
00:15Do you think President Trump has got a longstanding issue with the European project?
00:19Well, I think that he has a special affinity to the UK, to Great Britain, as do many of us,
00:26because many Americans' ancestors came from the continent or from Great Britain.
00:32But it's also where we got our laws, right?
00:35Those are from, where are they from?
00:37They're from ancient Greece, from Rome.
00:39They're from Israel, passed down to the UK.
00:43And they got things like freedom of speech, the right to defend themselves, the right to gather.
00:49And those informed our own constitution and our Declaration of Independence.
00:54And so how our country was formed is a direct descendant of the UK, and in some cases, the continent.
01:02And we need those countries to have their freedom of speech, because that's historically something that they've had.
01:08But we also need them to have strong economies.
01:11And they have a kind of, it seems, suicide pact to have a net zero agenda and de-industrialize and send most of their production.
01:19Germany is doing it right now, building more manufacturing in China, where this is controlled by the Chinese Communist Party.
01:28China, under the Chinese Communist Party, is certainly our greatest adversary and a real threat to our economic success in the UK, US and the EU.
01:40OK. I mean, obviously, everything the president has said in the last few days on the subject of Europe will have come as music to the ears of the leadership in Russia.
01:51And, you know, it really seems like the Russians have wanted to weaken the European continent for as long as it's been around for, in the form of the European Union.
02:00Tom, can I stop you?
02:03Go ahead.
02:03The idea is to strengthen Europe, not weaken Europe.
02:07We actually need Europe to be strong.
02:09But we also think that Russia doesn't have to be an adversary and linking arms with China.
02:16We think that it's better if Russia rejoins the community of nations and has normal trade and ends the war.
02:23But we saw what happened this week.
02:26We had Keir Starmer, we had Macron, and we had one other, Mertz, I think, meet with Zelensky.
02:35And then Zelensky declines the peace deal and says, no, he's not willing to lose any territory.
02:41He's losing.
02:42He's losing the war and has no chance to win.
02:44And so what's happened is some of the leaders in the EU are scuttling the peace deal, along with probably some leftist Democrats in the U.S., probably also in Zelensky's ear.
02:56The fact is 27,000 young men died last month because of this war.
03:01President Trump wants to end the war.
03:03There are so many good reasons to end the war.
03:06And it's not going to be fair on both sides because Ukraine has no hope of winning.
03:14And it's not going to be fair on both sides.
