00:00Hello, yes, eight different transport services across the capital are now being given a new look to mark the 25th anniversary of London's Integrated Transport Authority.
00:15It's the first time a unified design will appear across different services.
00:20The updated designs are intended to reflect what TfL claim a customer focused improvement introduced since the year 2000 and acknowledge the role of transport in London's development over that period.
00:36TfL want to highlight milestones including the introduction of contactless Oyster cards in 2003, the shift to a fully accessible bus fleet by 2005 and of course the latest edition, the opening of the Elizabeth line in 2022.
00:55The designs follow a visual style of the ongoing anniversary poster campaign and include the phrase making every journey matter for 25 years.
01:08Now, the new design will be applied to a range of different vehicles, TfL say, sampling multiple services from the Docklands Light Railway, the Elizabeth line, the cloud car in southeast London as well, the overgrounds and trams across the capital too.
01:24It will also appear on one of the city's zero emission buses, a taxi and Santander cycles as well, which will feature the commemoration of the 25th anniversary.
01:38I headed down to speak to some of the people at TfL to see how they're feeling about this new design.
01:44So this year, Transport for London is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
01:48And to commemorate that, you might have seen some striking posters across our network commemorating many of the customer improvements that we've made across the network, whether that's the Elizabeth line, the Northern Line extension, things like the baby on board badge, real-time bus information.
02:06And now we're going to be using those same designs on our transport services.
02:09The first of those is a bus, which you'll see operating on the Route 196.
02:13Yeah, one of the great things about the Transport for London network is that it covers all of London and it integrates together many different types of services, whether that's the tube or the other rail services, with our buses, the airline, our Santander cycle network.
02:31And that's one of the great things about the Transport for London public transport network.
02:36And that's meant that over the last 25 years, we've really been able to just change the way that people use sustainable public transport in London, connecting people to more jobs, opening up parts of London that perhaps weren't quite as accessible beforehand.
02:50And the work that we've done to try to really make the network more inclusive so that all Londoners and visitors to London are able to use public transport.
