During an event in West Pittston, Pennsylvania, Vice President JD Vance spoke about the Trump Administration's border and immigration enforcement policies.

00:07but I thought it'd be okay, especially since Kelly Loeffler, our great SBA administrator, she's doing a hell of a job.
00:13Kelly, thank you for being here. Thank you for doing everything that you do.
00:17And, you know, Kelly did such a good job talking about what the Big Beautiful Build would do for all of you.
00:23I don't think I have to talk about anything except for what I want to talk about.
00:26So we'll get to that in a second, but I don't know if you all saw this headline because I know every single American here cares about border security.
00:34Is that right? And I think it's one of the great things that we've done in this administration is we kept our promise that we're going to close down the American southern border,
00:45shut off the flow of fentanyl and start prioritizing American workers over Mexican drug cartels for a change.
00:52That is a great accomplishment.
00:58Now, it turns out the New York Times is not the biggest fan of what we've been doing at the border under the Trump administration.
01:04So they had this headline. I'm not kidding you. This is not a joke headline. I'm going to read you verbatim what the New York Times said just a couple of days ago.
01:14And I quote, I was one of Biden's border advisers. Here's how to fix our immigration system.
01:23What would he know about fixing our immigration system? It was the Biden administration that broke our immigration system.
01:29So we've been having a little bit of fun around the office. So the Department of Homeland Security, their take on this was, I was Humpty Dumpty.
01:38Here's how to sit on a wall. But be careful what you wish for. Now, we're in northeastern Pennsylvania.
01:45I assume that this is Eagles territory. Is that right? OK, awesome dissension here.
01:50We've got a lot of Eagles fans, but not 100 percent Eagles fans here.
01:55But congratulations, by the way, on last year. But this is what a buddy of mine sent me.

02:05And that that cut a little deep for the football fans out there will know that was not a cool thing for that guy to say.
02:12But this is what we're dealing with, my friends. We're dealing with a new administration, a new day and a president who is fixing what was broken during the last administration.
02:22I think we're all proud of that and proud to be here to celebrate it.
02:26And here's what I am most proud of, what I am most proud of over the last six months.
02:34The border is is important and it's it's great and it's incredible that we were able to go from the worst open border to a closed border in just a couple of weeks under President Trump's leadership.
