00:00There's a way to wager on the home run derby. It's not so much about guys that hit home runs.

00:04You look at Cal Raleigh and James Wood and look at their numbers. I think it's guys that can

00:07replicate their swing in a rhythm. I think that has a lot to do with that. Let's start the

00:12conversation there. Let's look at the favorites first. Then we'll go to the long shots. Take it

00:16away. What I'm looking for is guys who generate their own power, and then we're going to have

00:21endurance because, again, this is a young man's game, I think, or the guys who train for it.

00:26Now, Pete Alonso used to train for this and work at it. That's why he was so good, because

00:31it takes a different kind of endurance, especially with that timer that's built in. You got to

00:34have a certain number of home runs at a certain amount of time. If you look at the favorites

00:38here on this list, the favorites here, you've got O'Neal Cruz at plus 330, which, again, I

00:43don't understand why. Cal Raleigh plus 370, I do understand because he's hit a ton of home

00:48runs this year, but he's a bigger dude, and I just don't know if he can get all the way

00:53to the... He might be able to. He's Cal Raleigh. He's a special talent, and he's also a switch

00:58hitter, so which side does he choose to hit from? That's going to be interesting, too.

01:02But, again, it takes a lot. James Wood is really interesting at plus 400 because he is

01:06a young guy, a good athlete, and, again, I think the athleticism of this has something

01:12to do with it. If I had to pick somebody from the quote-unquote favorites list, it would

01:16be James Wood, but he is not my pick to win this year.
