00:00Let's flip it over to the National League, and that is the East,
00:03the Atlanta Braves, Craig.
00:04You talked about it a few times on this show.
00:07Man, the Braves can't have any worse start than what they did last year.
00:09That's not the case this year, hovering on the top of the NLE standings,
00:13the Marlins, the Phillies, the Nationals, and then there's those Mets.
00:16They seem they can't get out of their own way,
00:18but the Braves still the favorites, and there's the Mets,
00:20plus 200 right on their tails.
00:22Yeah, the one comment I would make here, Donnie,
00:25is I do believe the Braves are all the way back.
00:26I don't think that they have the necessary pitching to win a World Series
00:31with some of the pitchers that they're throwing out
00:33because of the injuries that they have to Smith Schauer and Schwellenbach and Strider,
00:38but, Donnie, if they get those guys back with this new bullpen that they've built
00:42and their hitters seem to be hitting finally since last season, look out.
00:46I think Atlanta's got a great shot to win this division.
00:49Your Phillies, I definitely think, will be in it,
00:51and as I mentioned, the Mets will too, and the Marlins, always pesky.
00:54They're going to fight against anyone.
00:55Unfortunately, Sam, I'm sorry, Washington's not going anywhere.
00:58All four teams, I think, are going to fight and be in this race for a while,
01:01but I'm a little scared watching the Braves play right now, Donnie.
01:04Are you telling me Dominic Smith was their answer to the cure
01:07of what they were missing in the offseason?
01:10Dominic Smith? Really?
01:12I mean, Dominic Smith, who's that, the new Aaron Judge at this point now?
01:14Is he going to finish this guy?
01:15We're going to watch it hit 400 all mid-league baseball season long at this point.
01:19The one thing I need to step up for the Atlanta Braves here,
01:22Austin Ryle used to have that sweet power stroke, man,
01:25hitting around 200 this year, no home runs yet on the season.
01:28I need that guy to step it up, but you're right about Drake Baldwin,
01:31hovering around 300 through 80 or so plate appearances so far in the season.
01:34He looks really good.
01:35And also, if you just get a boost out of that pitching staff,
01:38and they stay healthy, and I've talked about it many times, Craig,
01:41I don't like the Atlanta Braves.
01:42I'm a Phillies fan.
01:43I love the Braves front office.
