00:00Badminton comes into focus as there is a drive to increased participation in the sport across the Twin Islands.
00:06Well, to mark World Badminton Day, the Trinidad and Tobago Badminton Association hosted a special event at the National Racket Center
00:14to raise awareness and grow interest in the sport.
00:19For this year's theme, Razor Rackets, speaks directly to their mission of building excitement around the game through clinics and competition.
00:27But the sport still faces challenges.
00:29Badminton is searching for a permanent home, even as top players like Will Lee and Amara Uchart continues to lead the way as national champions.
00:39Public Relations Officer Bridget Jitman Singh says the potential is there, but they'll need more support to take the sport to the next level.
00:49I think we need more funding, more recognition for these sports.
00:53We definitely need probably to build from the primary school up because right now we have a secondary school badminton association
01:02or the secondary schools get involved, but we also want to get into the youth a little earlier so we could actually build on their talent
01:11and so represent Trinidad and Tobago because we have a lot to offer.
01:15Also I think that's really what it is.
01:16So I think that's where we need more help.
01:17That's from the show that I have been a working policy lawyer in the last episode.
01:20That's how we need morepee planningJean Singh to take those conversations
01:22of two-ç³»umer leaders responsibility.
01:24And we now havecznean supportive industry leaders.
01:24We're starting to re bounce.
01:25We stop at home for three-groups and we can still be in this list Facebook.
01:26Make a difficult job there, we can still be in this video tomorrow.
01:27Thanks Mary Grape, let's bring help.
01:28We'll see you later.
01:31After I've got everything done with TraviswThank bridges, he's not coming back on хотите.
01:33We're just coming back on Tuesday.
01:35I didn't go back away right now on Tuesday, but we'll see lives in the internet.
