00:00Table tennis starts from young. How young? Well, for some it's five years old and
00:04for others it may be 11. For these youngsters, their path has collided and
00:09has put them on the same journey towards the Caribbean Championships. They are
00:13under the guidance of their parents, head coach Curtis Humphreys, fellow coaches
00:17Dennis LaRose and Edwin Humphreys, as well as Sharon Bravo-Philip, who is the
00:21manager. In the days leading up to the competition, what is going through your
00:25mind? Very nervous, anxiety, but also very excited to represent Trinidad. It's my
00:32second time representing. What are your expectations for this competition? I'm
00:38not sure. I'll try to play my best and hopefully I could win. How does it feel
00:43representing your family and what sort of pressure are they putting on you to
00:46win? It feels good to represent my family. They're not really putting pressure but
00:52they just want me to win. So what have they been teaching you so far in this
00:56camp? They're teaching us how to slip, play in games, trade ball attack and many more. So
01:03have you picked up anything that you think will lead you to win the
01:06Eurovision? Services, mostly services and trade ball attack and doubles. So are you
01:12seeing growth in your game? Yeah, because each tournament I improve more and more
01:17and I've got further into tournaments. How would you say you've improved? Well I've
01:23improved well because in my first tournament I got eliminated and my
01:28recent tournament I got up to the finals. So I would say I'm improving pretty good. What areas do you think
01:35you've been improving in? Like forehand, backhand, services, topspin. There is one female on the team and that's
01:44Elizabeth Raja who will be competing in the under 13 girls doubles. The tournament runs until July 7th. Sergio Dufour, TV6 Sport.
