Which emerging stars will shine at Tottenham this season

James Trembath looks at which young Tottenham stars could have a breakthrough season under Thomas Frank this season.

00:00Yeah, and just finally, if you had to look at the Spurs squad

00:04and pick maybe someone as a prediction who you feel that Frank

00:08could get the very best out of and really could have a breakthrough season,

00:12is there anyone that stands out in terms of names in this side

00:15that you could see?

00:16If we look at Brentford, the impact he had on Buemo and Wisser as well,

00:21the sort of output they got there, and then obviously Tony before him as well,

00:25and then Ollie Watkins before that as well.

00:27So, there's plenty of players who have really gained a lot of confidence

00:31under Thomas Frank, and that's surely a positive for Spurs.

00:35It is, and I think I'm really intrigued to see what he does with Archie Gray.

00:40He's obviously a huge, huge fan of Archie Gray.

00:43He played a lot of football last year, not in his rightful position.

00:46He was in and out for England at the Euros,

00:48and a lot of Spurs fans are now sort of writing him off

00:51and thinking he's not the player that he was when we brought him in.

00:55But I still think he's a heck of a talent.

00:58And, you know, you speak to any Leeds fans and they'll tell you exactly the same.

01:01So, I think if there's one player that I'm really looking forward to seeing develop

01:04under Thomas Frank, it will be Archie Gray.

01:07Be interested to see what he does with Lucas Bergwell as well.

01:10Obviously, he was the sort of breakthrough star last season.

01:12And then, you know, there's the likes of Mikey Moore.

01:16There's the new centre-back, Vuscovic, who's just come in.

01:19If he sticks around and doesn't go out on loan again,

01:22his numbers are off the charts for a young player.

01:24So, you know, there's certainly some interesting players in the squad at the moment.

01:30And, you know, whether they go out on loan or not remains to be seen.

01:34And then you've got the likes of Jamie Donnelly as well.

01:36He played very, very well last year on loan at Leighton Orient.

01:39Had a brilliant pre-season for Spurs, actually, last season,

01:41but was playing at left-back for some reason,

01:43despite being a sort of attacking midfielder.

01:45So, does he stick around?

01:47Maybe get a chance in some of the cup games?

01:49But, yeah, it's going to be very, very intriguing to see how things start to develop.
