00:00Oh, simple touch to the right rear and round goes Colopinto.
00:04We've seen a lot of incidents in the past, haven't we?
00:06Down at turn four, Colopinto will say, I gave him enough racing room.
00:11Mr. Noda will say, I was taking the line and he turned in on me.
00:16But Ted, the Red Bull in the pits.
00:19They're having a good look around the front wing, aren't they?
00:22Hello, it needs a new front wing, Karun.
00:25The front left end plate was completely gone,
00:27hanging off at an angle he couldn't really continue with.
00:31And, oh my goodness, you know, what a day for Red Bull.
00:34This is what happens when Max Verstappen goes out on lap one.
00:37You're left with one car, it's Yuki Tsunoda.
00:39He's fighting Franco Colopinto in an Alpi and he loses his front wing,
00:42rejoins more or less last.
00:45That's how dependent they've become on Max Verstappen.
00:48I know, it's a real thing, isn't it, for that whole team.
00:51We've talked about it now, really, since they lost Daniel Ricciardo to Renault.
00:56They haven't had a second car up there pushing as much as they would have liked.
01:01Here is Flavio Breitore, you mentioned before on the wall.
01:04Just look at that Haas battle there.
01:07I think that was actually a team strategy,
01:10because Ocon is on much fresher tyres.
01:12Eight laps, his tyres are fresher than Bearman's.
01:15And Haas often played that strategic game wisely,
01:19because it doesn't make sense to hold one up.
01:21And look, Ocon now, within DRS of a struggling Gasly.
01:26Two Frenchmen, old rivals, old team mates.
01:29There's no love lost there.
01:31Not the best of friends, but they stood on the podium together last year.
01:34But you're right, Ocon has now been released with that DRS.
01:37Gasly heard on the radio a moment ago, really struggling in that Alpine,
01:40but he's going to give it all he can.
01:42Defends that inside, that will make him run deep in the corner.
01:46Can Ocon get on the throttle and power out towards turn six?
01:51Has to ease off as it tucks into turn six.
01:55Almost nudging Gasly out of the corner,
01:59as they then have to go one by one through seven and eight.
02:03Gasly currently in tenth, that final points-paying position.
02:06And Ocon chasing him down for it.
02:09Liam Lawson has just come into the pits as well for his first stop of the day.
02:16Fernando Alonso still out there, running long into this race in that Aston Martin.
02:20He is yet to pit.
02:22Having a look into turn one for Ocon.
02:25No, tucks back in.
02:27Better chance with the DRS going towards turn three.
02:30Yeah, Ocon running a different strategy to Behrman.
02:34And look, he needs to get ahead here off that Alpine.
02:37And he gets it done nice and easy.
02:39There can be from a baby.
02:41And there, you know, the loss in one is interesting, Harry.
02:43The reason they've extended that first stint,
02:45and he's gone 32 laps on that first set of medium tyres,
02:49is that they will have to run the soft tyre at some stage.
02:53Racing bulls are in a...
02:54The way they've used their tyres through the weekend
02:56means that they've only had, for Liam Lawson,
03:00they've got one set of the mediums, which they've already used,
03:04and one set of the hard tyre,
03:05which means they'll have to use the soft at some stage.
03:07That's why they've gone for such a big offset.
03:10Lawson on the hards now.
03:11He'll put on a set of softs and lay it on as Fernando Alonso pits.
03:15One question, one thing I was going to say there, Harry, on that.
03:17Because they've gone so long on that medium,
03:1932 laps, Alonso's still going on his medium.
03:23Well, he's just coming to the pits.
03:24First of the commentator there,
03:27as he pits, put on that hard tyre.
03:29Do these two guys think they can do a one-stop strategy?
03:32Do they think that with 30 laps on the medium
03:35that they can fit one single hard tyre
03:38and get that at the end of the race?
03:39So that's a question mark for them
03:40because Alonso is in a healthier tyre position.
03:43He does have another medium available.
03:45So I think those two are ones to watch for a potential one-stop.
03:48And actually, if you divide up the race,
03:50it's possible, isn't it?
03:51Because Alonso's pretty much gone to half distance.
03:53The second half of the race, it's easier on the tyres.
03:56The car is lighter.
03:58And the track will have more rubber.
03:59So I would take a guess and say that certainly,
04:03I think they'd be looking for that.
04:05And they've got the soft there in case it's a late safety car.
04:08Lock-up from Behrman as he now tries his luck against Gasly.
04:11By the way, we've had a notice from the stewards,
04:1410-second time penalty coming the way of Yuki Tsunoda
04:18for causing a collision with Franco Colopinto
04:21just to compound Red Bull's rather miserable day in the office.
04:25The Clarence starting to ramp up the pace a little bit up ahead.
04:29Piastri setting a new fastest lap, a 9-1.
04:32Four tenths quicker than Norris on the last lap.
04:35But the gap still sitting at over five seconds.
04:39Oli Behrman now.
04:40He is another one who went for a slightly different strategy.
04:42He started on the soft tyre and therefore went for an early stop.
04:47Only did 11 laps, I think, on that first set.
04:51So his tyres have now done 23 laps.
04:54Quite similar to Gasly, who's done 22 on his.
04:58Behrman with the DRS.
05:01Looking at the rear wing of Pierre Gasly.
05:03Looking at the side of Pierre Gasly.
05:05Looking ahead of Pierre Gasly.
05:07But Gasly's going to try and fight back.
05:09He won't get the benefit of the DRS, though.
05:12Oli Behrman will.
05:13And that will see him get the advantage of Drag Race down to Turn 4.
05:17But it's one out by the Haas of Behrman,
05:20who gets that ninth place, demotes Gasly, back down to tenth.
05:25Haas of having a good race here.
05:27They seem to have decent pace.
05:29If you think of last year, they finished sixth in the race here
05:32with Nico Hülkenberg.
05:33So it's a track that's been kind to them in the past.
05:36Taking something broken, it's crazy.
05:38I don't know how much more I can say on track.
05:41Yeah, I'm still making people working on it.
05:43Okay, stick with it, please.
05:44Gasly being told to stick with it.
05:46Although he thinks something might be broken.
05:48This is, on paper, one of Haas' happy hunting grounds.
05:52Fourth and fifth place for Grosjean and Hülkenberg back in 2018.
05:57And you think where Haas were at the beginning of the weekend,
05:59if you didn't join us for practice,
06:00they were struggling towards the back.
06:02So this is working out at the moment for the Haas team.
06:05Let's see how it continues to play out,
06:07both on the hard tyre,
06:08but on slightly different strategies.
06:11The Salvas have swapped around.
06:12They did that a few laps ago.
06:14Bortoleto now back in front of Nico Hülkenberg.
06:18He's having bringing an upgrade this weekend,
06:20which seems to have gone well with Bortoleto.
06:22And Hülkenberg finding a bit more pace
06:24as Isaac Hajar down the inside of Franco Colopinto,
06:28who's already been turned around once today,
06:31avoids a second spin.
06:33And Hajar makes that move,
06:35or holds on to it,
06:36gets himself up into 13th spot.
06:38Colopinto will vie for that move.
06:41But no, Hajar has made it work
06:44and now speeds off into the distance.
06:46His next target will be Fernando Alonso.
06:48Ted.
06:49Just looking down at the Ferrari pit wall.
06:52So as we've said,
06:52Fred Vesseur, the team boss,
06:54not here because of personal reasons.
06:56He's had to go home.
06:56He will be back at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
06:59So it's Jerome D'Ambrosio
07:00who's overseeing the team.
07:02And we think they're still having to lift and coast.
07:05But we don't think the lift and coast
07:07is for fuel or brakes.
07:08It could be just to protect the skid blocks.
07:11The issue that Ferrari have had
07:13for the whole season, really.
07:15But nevertheless,
07:16they look happy enough with the progress.
07:18They've dropped,
07:19well and truly dropped,
07:21George Russell.
07:22The Mercedes really suffering for pace
07:24in these hot conditions.
07:26But yeah, Leclerc and Hamilton just carrying on
07:28as D'Ambrosio, of course,
07:31a man of Marussia driver
07:32previously watches on.
07:34Just to underline the point there
07:36about George Russell that Ted mentioned,
07:38Gabriel Bortoleto is only 3.5 seconds
07:41behind George Russell,
07:42the man who won the Grand Prix
07:44in Canada two weeks ago.
07:46currently sitting 38 seconds
07:49behind Lando Norris
07:50on lap 38.
07:52So Mercedes really struggling
07:54in this heat.
07:55They certainly are.
07:56And in front, though,
07:57that gap still now 5.2 seconds
08:00between Norris and Piastri.
08:02You can see the gains there,
08:04ebbing and flowing.
08:04But the hard fighting was done
08:07early doors.
08:08Now wait to see how it unfolds
08:09over the course of the remainder
08:11of this Grand Prix.
08:13A little further down the field,
08:15we've been speaking to team principal
08:17Lauren Meckies of Racing Bulls
08:19throughout the weekend.
08:20I'm pleased to say he's joining us
08:21once again on lap 38.
08:24Good afternoon, Lauren.
08:25Thank you very much for your time.
08:27Hajar at the moment down in 13th.
08:29Lawson down in 11th,
08:31but has been running up inside
08:32that top 10.
08:33And we were discussing up here,
08:34is there a possible chance
08:35of a one-stop for Liam Lawson?
08:40Yeah, hi everyone.
08:41Yeah, we got a bit of a rough lap 1
08:44and both cars lost a bit of position
08:46and Liam got a bit crashed in too.
08:48But yeah, I'm not going to hide.
08:50We are trying to go to the end
08:51from where we asked to do
08:52a one-stop with Liam.
08:54We think there is a couple of other guys
08:55that will try, perhaps O'Conn,
08:57perhaps Alonso behind us.
08:59But that's what we are trying
09:00to do right now.
09:01So just picking up on that,
09:03at the moment,
09:05Lauren, you look at it.
09:07We think Portiletto will probably
09:09be a bit quicker than you.
09:11What are your numbers telling you?
09:12Is Liam on course for
09:13sort of eight, nine?
09:15Is points finally going to come his way?
09:18Yeah, we think we are fighting
09:21for the last few points available.
09:23You know, P8, P9, P10.
09:25You're right, Gabriele will have to stop again.
09:28I guess he just beat it now.
09:29And obviously he's going to be fast
09:30in the last part of the race.
09:32So we'll see how we're able
09:34to defend with our tires.
09:35That would be a bit more used.
09:36But yeah, Fernando is the same
09:38more than us.
09:39And possibly O'Conn ahead of us
09:41will probably try something similar.
09:43So it's really the pure one stop
09:45versus two stops.
09:46Let's see how it finishes.
09:47You probably get the answer
09:48in the very last laps of the race.
09:50Brilliant.
09:51Thank you very much.
09:52Lorne Mechies on the pit wall for us.
09:54The team principal of Racing Bulls.
09:56Best of luck with the rest
09:57of this Grand Prix.
09:58Lawson now inside that top 10
10:00with Gasly having pitted
10:01and Hatchar promoted up in to 12.
10:04Meanwhile, the Alpine of Franco Colopinto
10:07trying to chase down
10:09the Aston Martin of Lance Strop.
10:12For O'Conn to go on a one stop
10:13that would require 49 laps
10:15on a set of the hard tires.
10:17That's a bold, bold move.
10:21So we'll see.
10:22I mean, I think the fact
10:23that Hatch swapped the cars
10:24that got O'Conn to push on
10:25suggests to me that,
10:28you know, they're asking to push
10:30to use up the tire.
10:31But we'll see.
10:33We'll see how that plays out.
10:34Anyway, nice little midfield battle.
10:35And nice to see two Sauber's,
10:37two Hatchars.
10:38We've got the two Racing Bulls,
10:40you know, in that gaggle
10:41between 6th and 12th.
10:43There's a good little midfield scrap there.
10:45And this is the part of the race
10:47where we will see the front runners
10:48start to be affected
10:49slightly by the traffic
10:51and how efficiently
10:52they can make their way
10:53through the blue flags.
10:54Norris being able to carry on through.
10:57He's actually got Stroll ahead of him
10:59in the rundown towards Turn 3.
11:01This was from a few moments ago.
11:04Colopinto trying to fight
11:06against Stroll.
11:08Stroll still out there.
11:09Colopinto coming into the pits.
11:11Top of the front.
11:12Piastri is now starting
11:13to sneak into Norris' lead.
11:15The gap, remember,
11:17one point was up at 6.4 seconds.
11:19It's now down to 3.3 seconds.
11:22And last time round,
11:24Piastri a full one second faster
11:26than Lando Norris.
11:28Four laps,
11:29the difference in their tyres.
11:30Norris has now done 20 laps.
11:32Ted Kravitz on his hard tyres.
11:35Piastri's done 16.
11:37Yeah, but now Piastri's really closing in,
11:38as you say.
11:39I think Lando's tyres are about to go, Karun.
11:42I can confirm that.
11:43A few mechanics I can just see
11:44down the pit lane at McLaren
11:45just getting ready.
11:47They would normally want to go
11:48to about lap 47, 48
11:50before they put the final set of tyres
11:53on towards the end.
11:54We're in lap 41 now.
11:56But, yeah,
11:56in the last two laps,
11:58Oscar has taken a good two seconds
12:00out of Lando.
12:02So Oscar really starting,
12:03having looked after his tyres
12:05to make a charge
12:06back on his teammate.
12:07Can we, Karun,
12:08can I just get your view
12:09on that radio message
12:10from Tom Stallard
12:11to Oscar a while ago
12:13saying, you know,
12:14no more of those 50-50 challenges.
12:16How do you think Oscar
12:17would have taken that?
12:19Fine?
12:19Or do you think he would have been,
12:20well, you know,
12:21I'm racing, mate.
12:22Sometimes the moves are 50-50.
12:24I think he would have taken it
12:25as fair enough,
12:26to be honest.
12:27I think Oscar
12:28probably knew
12:29when he went for that lunge.
12:31It was a high-risk move.
12:34You know,
12:34in the cockpit,
12:35when you look at the gap
12:37of the car in front
12:37and you look at the gap
12:38that's closing down
12:40to the apex,
12:41you know if you've taken
12:42a risky lunge
12:44or you're taking one
12:45that's, you know,
12:46should we say,
12:47over a 50-50.
12:48In that case,
12:49it was definitely
12:49less than a 50-50 chance.
12:52So I think he'll look at it
12:53and go, fair enough.
12:55But just looking at that gap
12:57that you mentioned,
12:59Ted,
12:59it's...
13:00Some of it's traffic-related,
13:01Harry, isn't it?
13:02We heard that traffic
13:03is going to be a problem here.
13:04If you catch a car
13:05at turn six,
13:07as Norris did there
13:08with Alonso,
13:09you do lose
13:10a lot of performance.
13:11And that is such a short track
13:12around here.
13:13Stroll is in front of Piastri
13:15at the moment.
13:15So that's traffic
13:16that he'll have to get through next.
13:18Yeah, sorry,
13:19it was Stroll,
13:19not Alonso, sorry.
13:20Yeah, so Stroll first of all
13:21for Norris
13:22and now Norris is through.
13:24Piastri will have to try
13:25and make it
13:25and then it's only
13:26a corner away.
13:27Norris will have to deal
13:28with Hajar.
13:29Then comes Alonso
13:30and Liam Lawson
13:31and they're in quite a fight,
13:32actually,
13:33as we can see
13:34for the Racing Bulls
13:36and the Aston Martin.
13:37So that will be
13:38the next bit of traffic.
13:39So difficult when these cars
13:40are fighting for potential points,
13:42then having to have
13:43the blue flags
13:43waved in their face.
13:44Yeah, and that Alonso
13:45versus Lawson's crap,
13:47Team Radio.
13:47Is he just quicker
13:48everywhere now?
13:49He's mainly quicker
13:50in high speed
13:51or to see with his loss
13:52of traffic.
13:54There it is,
13:55the loss of time
13:56in traffic,
13:56that's where
13:57Lando's been struggling
13:59and now we'll see
14:00what Oscar suffers
14:00with behind Stroll.
14:03But just that battle
14:05between Alonso
14:05and Lawson,
14:06that's an important one
14:07because that is
14:08a battle between two cars
14:10going to the end
14:11of the race.
14:12We heard from Lorameckis,
14:12both of those
14:13on a one stop.
14:14So they're not going to be
14:15in much of a mood
14:17to give up
14:17their own race time
14:19to let the leaders pass.
14:20Nico Hülkenberg
14:20pits for Sauber.
14:23Nice clean stop there,
14:242.3 seconds.
14:25Sauber really are doing
14:26a fantastic job
14:27with their pit stops
14:27this season, aren't they?
14:28And he will feed out
14:30in between Norris
14:32and Piastri.
14:33So that's good news
14:33for Norris,
14:34bad news for Piastri.
14:35And our goal here is obvious,
14:39we just keep Oscar
14:39out of our DRS.
14:42Well, there's the goal
14:42laid out
14:43and for the time being
14:44it will work.
14:45But Piastri does get through
14:47on Fernando Alonso,
14:48makes it fairly easy
14:50for him.
14:51He'll now have to try
14:52and get ahead of the
14:53Sauber
14:53of Nico Hülkenberg.
14:55Just to focus on that
14:56midfield battle,
14:57it's going to be
14:57super intense.
14:58Sauber, Haas,
14:59Racing Bulls,
15:00Aston Martin,
15:01they're all so close
15:02in the Constructors' Championship.
15:04Just a handful of points
15:05separate really
15:06Haas in six
15:07on 34 points
15:08all the way down
15:09to Aston Martin
15:10in ninth
15:11and 24 points
15:12to their name.
15:13Alpine a little further
15:14adrift
15:14at the bottom
15:15of the field.
15:16So this could really
15:17be quite the battle
15:19to watch
15:19in the closing stages
15:20if indeed
15:21Esteban Ocon
15:22and the likes
15:23of Liam Lawson
15:23are going to try
15:24and go to the end
15:25while Gabriel
15:26Bortoleto
15:27in the Sauber
15:28that's running sick
15:29at the moment
15:29will need
15:30to stop again
15:31but he's built
15:32on fine form
15:33so far this weekend.
15:34Surely
15:34his strongest weekend
15:36in Formula 1
15:37so far
15:38for the Brazilian rookie.
15:39So Esteban Ocon
15:40at the moment
15:41he is
15:42six seconds
15:43behind Bortoleto
15:45but he's
15:46five and a half seconds
15:47in front of Lawson
15:49so Lawson
15:50on pressure tyres
15:51of course
15:51but going to the end
15:52of the race.
15:53Now that could all be
15:54quite the fun.
15:55Bernie what do you think?
15:57Yeah I was just
15:57having a look at
15:58McLaren and Ferrari
15:59what are their options
16:00at this point
16:01going forward
16:01in the race.
16:02So they've started
16:03on a medium
16:03then put on
16:04the hard tyre.
16:05Both McLaren
16:06and Ferraris
16:07have another medium
16:08to go to
16:08that's their next
16:09new set of tyres.
16:10If it's not the medium
16:12it's a used soft
16:13I think that's unlikely
16:14at this stage
16:15so that's where
16:16the majority
16:17of the field
16:17would go.
16:19I think there's
16:19only a few drivers
16:20on that one stop
16:21strategy that you outlined
16:22the Lawson and Alonso
16:23I think everyone else
16:24probably on the two stop.
16:26And just looking
16:26at the gap
16:27between George Russell
16:28now to Lewis Hamilton
16:29Russell a full pit stop
16:31behind Hamilton's Ferrari
16:33so after battling
16:34early on
16:35in the race
16:36on the opening lap
16:38it's just fizzled away
16:39that Mercedes pace.
16:42Talk about gaps
16:42as well
16:43speaking of one stoppers
16:44Fernando Alonso
16:45and Liam Lawson
16:46are resuming
16:47their fights down
16:48in eighth and ninth
16:50Alonso
16:50within DRS
16:52closing
16:52by half a second
16:54at the moment
16:55so that fight
16:56is going to go
16:57to the end
16:57and those two
16:58have a little bit
16:59of history
16:59together
17:00not always
17:01the best of friends
17:02on the track
17:04but at the moment
17:05on lap 46
17:06Nando Norris
17:07still in the lead
17:07of this one
17:08but we've had
17:08a few retirements
17:09already
17:10the likes of
17:10Carlos Sainz
17:11not starting this race
17:12Alex Albon
17:13having to retire too
17:14and Kimi Antonelli
17:16who had a crash
17:16with Max Verstappen
17:17took them both
17:18out of the race
17:19well let's hear
17:20from Kimi Antonelli
17:21speaking
17:21well Kimi
17:24I saw you and Max
17:25talking after the incident
17:27did you just misjudge
17:29the braking point
17:29at that turn
17:30I didn't necessarily
17:31brake too late
17:32but it's just
17:33when I brake
17:35obviously I brake
17:38hard
17:38because I was
17:40behind other cars
17:41and in that moment
17:42I locked the rears
17:43and then I just
17:45couldn't stop
17:45the car
17:46because I locked
17:47the rear
17:47and then lost
17:48the car
17:48and then I had
17:49to avoid
17:49Lawson
17:50but then it was
17:51too late
17:51because I was
17:52arriving just
17:52too quick
17:53because then I
17:54started to lock
17:54the front
17:55and instead of
17:56decelerating
17:56I was accelerating
17:58so the car
18:00was just taking
18:01speed
18:01and then the
18:03crash was
18:03inevitable
18:04and yeah
18:05I just feel
18:05super sorry
18:06to the team
18:06and to Max
18:08of course
18:08because obviously
18:09it was just
18:10a passenger
18:10yeah
18:11listen
18:11is there a little
18:13bit of concern
18:13you might pick up
18:14a penalty
18:15that carries
18:16over to Silverstone
18:17I guess you'll just
18:17have to take that
18:18on the chin
18:18if it comes
18:19yeah
18:19no no
18:20of course
18:20it's a big mistake
18:22and yeah
18:23now we need to
18:23move forward
18:24and focus on
18:26Silverstone
18:26and despite
18:28you know
18:29we'll see if we
18:29get a penalty
18:30or not
18:30but it's going
18:31to be important
18:31to get back
18:33and you know
18:35to start doing
18:36like I did
18:37in Canada
18:37thanks
18:38Kimmy Antonelli
18:40speaking to
18:41Craig Slater
18:42then after
18:43retiring from
18:44this race
18:44crashing with
18:45Max Verstappen's
18:46teammate George
18:46Russell just
18:47pitting last
18:48lap around
18:49onto the
18:50hard tyre
18:50making gains
18:51on Isaac
18:52Hadjar
18:53in ninth
18:54now
18:55and well
18:55for Antonelli
18:56leaving one
18:57Mercedes left
18:57in the race
18:58Antonelli's
18:58only points
18:59finish in the
19:00last five
19:00races was his
19:01podium
19:01in Canada
19:02we know he's
19:03a rookie
19:04but this is
19:06it's a tough
19:06pill to swallow
19:07for a Mercedes
19:08team at the
19:08front
19:09it is
19:10I mean
19:10trying to be
19:10at the front
19:11in fairness to
19:12him if you
19:13look at
19:14Imola
19:15and Barcelona
19:16with reliability
19:17issues
19:17it wasn't
19:18his fault
19:19obviously Monte
19:19Carlo
19:19he hit the
19:20barrier in
19:21qualifying
19:21which was
19:22his fault
19:23listen he's
19:25taken on the
19:26seat from
19:26this man
19:26Lewis Hamilton
19:27and it's
19:29a tough
19:30ask
19:30nice to hear
19:32him put his
19:32hands up
19:32and accept
19:33blame
19:34apologize to
19:35Max
19:35and that's
19:35the right
19:36thing you
19:36can do
19:36I think
19:38at the
19:38end of
19:38the day
19:38it was
19:39pretty obvious
19:40wasn't it
19:40he was just
19:42not in a
19:43position to
19:44get the
19:44car stopped
19:44there
19:45made the
19:45mistake
19:45and you
19:46just got
19:46to take
19:46it on
19:47the
19:47chain
19:47and move
19:47on
19:47well
19:48wait
19:48see
19:48what
19:49comes
19:49his
19:50way
19:50for
19:51the
19:51Ferrari
19:52which
19:52finds
19:53itself
19:53off
19:54track
19:55for
19:55Lewis
19:56Hamilton
19:57running
19:58wide
19:58we'll have
19:59to try
19:59and get
19:59the
19:59off
20:01on
20:01off
20:02board
20:02look
20:02if he
20:03had a
20:03bit
20:03of a
20:03lock
20:03up
20:04let's
20:04see
20:04this
20:05is
20:05Oscar
20:06Piastri
20:06first of
20:07all
20:07coming
20:08into
20:08turn
20:08one
20:39And Oli Behrmann having a look down the inside of Lance Stroll.
20:42Nice, tidy move up into Turn 3.
20:45Oli Behrmann, who started this race down in 15th,
20:50will try and make that move stick against Stroll
20:53and does so.
20:54The top position gainer is Oli Behrmann in races so far.
20:5836 total places gained across the season.
21:02It's had an up-and-down season, has Behrmann,
21:04but showing well so far.
21:05So, Lando, now that Oscar's got three,
21:07yeah, his pace and high-speed has recovered a bit.
21:09Obviously, as we get close to Hajar, it's going to get tough again.
21:12Still doing a good job.
21:15It's Lando Norris being spoken to by Will Joseph.
21:18He's got Hajar coming up in front of him,
21:20and then he's got a lot of traffic.
21:22Russell, Alonso, Lawson, Ocon,
21:24all coming the way of Lando Norris,
21:27who will have to clear it as efficiently as possible.
21:30Charles Leclerc has told to pit.
21:31He's about three seconds behind Hajar at the moment,
21:34so it'll be a lap or two by the time he catches him riding on board.
21:39You can see the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc has come into the pits, Ted.
21:43Yeah, Charles Leclerc actually locks his tyres as he comes into the pits.
21:46So this is actually, funnily enough, good news for Lando Norris.
21:50That's a nice stop from Ferrari.
21:52That was business-like, felt like a high twos seconds to me.
21:56I don't have a monitor.
21:572.4, Ted.
21:58Oh, OK. A mid twos. Sorry, I correct myself.
22:01Nice stop from there.
22:02But, yeah, that means that Lando can pit now
22:04into a totally clean air ahead of Lewis Hamilton.
22:09Otherwise, he would have been somewhere near Charles Leclerc.
22:11But, yeah, I think McLaren will react to that.
22:13Lando's starting to say that his rear tyres are starting to go off.
22:17Gabriel Portoletto.
22:18Harry comes into the pits in front of you,
22:21and you're finished with that.
22:22He does indeed.
22:23You can't not fail to spot the fluoro-green Sauber.
22:28But, Portoletto having a good race so far,
22:30but this pit stop again, crucial,
22:32what should be his final stop to the end for Gabriel Portoletto.
22:36They enjoyed that.
22:37Fist bumps all round.
22:382.2 seconds.
22:40Portoletto, will he feed out ahead of Oscar Piastri?
22:44If he does, it will be fairly quick pickings for Oscar Piastri,
22:48but still not what he would have wanted to see.
22:50Another car in front of him.
22:52Is my pace really bad?
22:54Because the tyres are fine.
22:55And we box now for fastest race, optimal race.
22:58My tyres are OK.
22:59Can I extend?
23:00How many more laps left?
23:02And box, 20 laps.
23:04I don't want to stop.
23:0720 laps left.
23:08Box.
23:09Well, the radio messages are delayed.
23:11He didn't want to stop,
23:12but he's come in.
23:132.2 seconds,
23:15and he is released back into the fast lane.
23:18Lewis Hamilton will feed out in fourth spot.
23:21Bernie, head over to you on that one.
23:23Sky Race Control.
23:24Yeah, exactly.
23:25Ferrari teams seem to be targeting that optimum race,
23:28and that is balancing the stint,
23:29so they don't go too long on that middle stint done hard.
23:33I think Lewis probably a little bit concerned there
23:35that maybe they were overreacting to that off-track excursion at turn three,
23:39reassuring the team that the tyres are fine.
23:41He had nice clean air there,
23:42and that's possibly why he wanted to extend,
23:44but he is now also in clean air behind Beclerc.
23:47So it seems at this stage from the outside the right move for the team,
23:51except if a safety car comes out in the next few laps,
23:54and then Lewis will be saying,
23:55I told you I should have extended.
23:57Well, for the engineer's sake and the debrief,
24:00let's hope they don't get a safety car,
24:02because that will get awkward.
24:04Esteban Ocon has pitted a three-second stop for the Haas driver,
24:09so he's fed out in 11th place,
24:12which now leads Liam Lawson up in fifth,
24:16Fernando Alonso in sixth.
24:19The two Ferraris have pitted,
24:21so they don't need to pit again.
24:23Lawson has pitted, Alonso has pitted,
24:26Russell has pitted,
24:27so Russell will have to overtake Alonso and Lawson on track,
24:32so that's going to be interesting.
24:34And, of course, the two leading McLarens now,
24:3637 seconds,
24:38the gap between Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc.
24:42The two leading McLarens yet to do their final stop,
24:44but, bang on cue, here comes Lando Norris.
24:47In comes Lando Norris, box, box.
24:49You've just been told on the radio,
24:50this is the Germany situation.
24:52I'm just trying to wrap my brain as to what that refers to,
24:55but he's come in to the pits,
24:57and Oscar Piastri takes over the lead of this Austrian Grand Prix,
25:02and that felt a little bit on the slow end.
25:05Oh, it's okay.
25:062.5 seconds for Lando Norris,
25:08who is sent back on his way,
25:11and he should feed out.
25:13He will get a bit of traffic.
25:14Tsunoda and Colopinto coming through the pitch,
25:17and now on the start-finish straight,
25:18making their way through turn one.
25:21Then Norris will also have Gasly and Stroll to contend with.
25:23You'll get some clearer air.
25:25Let's use the pace.
25:25We should be in at the end of this lap.
25:27Okay, so expensive Piastri then in imminently.
25:32Now he's got some clean air.
25:3316.9 second gap between himself and Lando Norris.
25:37The average pit loss here being around the 22nd mark.
25:43The two Ferraris in a kind of race on their own so far this weekend.
25:48Today, Leclerc third, Hamilton fourth.
25:50Now he's put on some fresh boots, though.
25:52Hamilton with that fastest lap.
25:54Liam Lawson, Fernando Alonso hoping to go to the end as Piastri.
25:58And he called to BoxBox.
26:00Does indeed come in to the pit lane.
26:03We've seen a couple of issues on the front-left, haven't we,
26:06in the first round of pit stops for McLaren.
26:10And let's see, there he is.
26:11Those little bumps that he goes over, comes in the pit.
26:14And I'm sure a sigh of relief from the little micro team
26:20of three mechanics on the front-left,
26:21because a 2.0 is an incredibly fast stop.
26:25So well done to the McLaren team for recovering from their earlier issues
26:29and delivering that stop, Piastri comes out.
26:32He's got to have Yuki Tsunoda in front of him,
26:35as well as Franco Colopinto.
26:36So he's got a couple of cars of traffic in between them.
26:40The gap between Norris and Piastri, Harry.
26:433.3 seconds, Colopinto.
26:46He had darted down the inside and locks up the brakes.
26:49Tsunoda bites back, and there is Oscar Piastri.
26:52And Colopinto is moving over on the championship leader.
26:55Forces Emil McGrath.
26:57Does he realise that he's not racing him?
26:58He makes his way through.
27:00Piastri hearts in his mouth and manages to make his way through.
27:07And Tsunoda gets out of the way as well now.
27:09But that was a little too close for comfort for Oscar Piastri.
27:15That was unacceptable from Colopinto.
27:17Absolutely.
27:18You know, there's no reason he should have been drifting over
27:21to the right-hand side here.
27:23So he's gone for the move.
27:25He's locked up.
27:26He's gone wide.
27:27Tsunoda has come back past him.
27:28But at this stage, he's thinking about trying to get into the slipstream
27:32behind Tsunoda.
27:34The team, I presume, and maybe I'll give him the benefit of the doubt
27:37and say they hadn't told him.
27:39But normally the team would say you've got Piastri coming behind to lap you.
27:44And he just drifted across to the right-hand side, trying to pick up the slipstream from the Red Bull instead of thinking,
27:52I'm about to wipe out one of the leading cars here.
27:56Forcing another driver off the track that has been noted and already under investigation for Franco Colopinto,
28:06who is now side-by-side once again with Yuki Tsunoda.
28:09They're baffling over 14th and 15th.
28:10Colopinto, very happy with Tsunoda's racing, it seems.
28:15And, well, Tsunoda having another day to forget in what is a Grand Prix to forget for Red Bull.
28:20Colopinto through and up into 14th spot, Tsunoda 15th stroll is now last, having just pitted.
28:27Right, Ted, what more do you bring?
28:29A couple of thoughts from down here.
28:31First of all, the Germany situation.
28:32From memory with McLaren, that's just you're on equal tyres to the end of the race
28:36and you just go to the end and you're free to fight.
28:40I don't think it's any more code than that.
28:43And, in fact, it wouldn't be that the car behind is on a...
28:47Oh, I think George Russell has made it past Liam Lawson, Harry, correct me if I'm wrong.
28:50Yes, he has done. He's thrown up into 5th.
28:53OK, and so I don't think it's any more weird like that
28:55because they didn't give Oscar Piastri any more of a tyre offset, did they?
28:59It was the lap after Lando pitted and he was straight into the end of the race.
29:04Just thinking about Hamilton and the I don't want to pit thing,
29:09all they've done by pitting him was guaranteeing that he finishes behind Leclerc and P4,
29:14whereas if they'd left him out with potentially a one-stop,
29:18then at least Lewis might have had a chance of holding off his teammates towards the end.
29:22So I understand Lewis's frustration there.
29:25Just looking at this battle here, Alonso's got DRS behind Lawson.
29:29They're battling for 6th and 7th.
29:31That is now a true race, right?
29:33The top 7 cars we know are definitely going to the end of the race.
29:38Isaac Hajar is an interesting one because his tyres are 4 laps older than Liam Lawson's,
29:45but he's got the two Sauber's and the two Haskars behind him.
29:50So are Racing Bulls going to try and roll the dice and just leave him out there
29:53as he's now about to lose a place to Gabriel Portoleto?
29:57Do they roll the dice?
29:58Just leave him out there, see if he drops out of the points and then pit?
30:02That's one option, or do they pit him now?
30:04So we'll see how that plays out.
30:06But I'll tell you what, Sauber, they've had two races in a row in the points, haven't they?
30:11They're on course for a double points finish here.
30:15Watch out for Ockton versus Hulkeberg late in the race.
30:17That'll be fun towards the last few laps.
30:20Yeah, this could be a really big result for them.
30:22They're coming into this weekend.
30:23It's actually Racing Bulls and Haas who are tied on points in the Constructors' Championship.
30:28Racing Bulls looking to win the advantage on that one come the close of this Grand Prix,
30:35which we are steadily heading towards.
30:38A really complex race having to be run by the two,
30:42well, by the McLaren team for their two drivers
30:44with the fastest car on the circuit.
30:47Two number one drivers letting them race out
30:49as the five-second time penalty comes in for Colopinto,
30:52forcing Piastri off the track a little earlier in that heated battle.
30:57That's to say, McLaren have really allowed us to enjoy
30:59good battling between the title contenders,
31:01which is what they always promised, and, well, we've got it.
31:05That'll be really bad news for Colopinto.
31:07Whoever has to deliver that,
31:08because he's just done all his effort to get ahead of Tsunoda,
31:12but the five seconds he's going to drop him behind Tsunoda and Tsunoda's got ten, hasn't he?
31:17It doesn't matter.
31:18We'll see how it all evens out at the end.
31:20Yeah, they're outside the points, but,
31:22coming back to Ted's point before,
31:24I mean, Red Bull Racing,
31:26haven't got Max Verstappen,
31:27and Yuki Tsunoda's running around in second-last place.
31:31The junior team cars are running both in the points at the moment.
31:35I think Hajar will struggle to hang on,
31:37but you've got the Racing Bulls both running in the points,
31:39and the Red Bull Racing car running second-last,
31:43and that's just,
31:44there's so much to unpick in that dynamics of how the car is built,
31:48how the car is designed,
31:49and is it the right thing to have a car so focused on Max Verstappen?
31:55Mika Hülkenberg getting in front of the second of the Racing Bulls up to ninth.
32:01Hajar in tenth.
32:03His teammate Liam Lawson still being chased by Fernando Alonso.
32:07I think we're going to get treated to quite a nice battle.
32:09Liam Lawson, of course, started the year as a Red Bull driver,
32:13demoted after tough results,
32:15replaced by Yuki Tsunoda,
32:17who is encountering a similar pain in that second Red Bull seat.
32:22As Hajar gets more pain delivered by Esteban Ocon,
32:26who gets to Haas up inside the top ten.
32:29This could be crucial come the end of the year,
32:32as they fight for those midfield positions in the Constructors' Championship.
32:37Tied on points coming into this weekend.
32:39Haas and Racing Bulls,
32:41but the Haas now ahead of one Racing Bulls,
32:43but Liam Lawson looking set to score big points.
32:46If he can hold on to it,
32:47Alonso is piling on the pressure,
32:50but coming back to the point you were making, Karun,
32:52about Red Bull,
32:53the fact that Lawson is up in sixth
32:54and had a strong qualifying,
32:56just once again highlighting something that's not quite right
32:58with whatever the protocols are
33:01with that second Red Bull seat.
33:04Tsunoda down in 15,
33:06facing a ten-second time penalty as well.
33:10I mean, the Constructors' Championship
33:11in that midfield scrap is going to be really interesting, isn't it?
33:14Because you can see Ocon's now got ahead of Hajar.
33:18So, looks like Ocon and Haas
33:20could be in line for at least a point.
33:23He's not that far behind Nico Hülkenberg, by the way.
33:26He's only 2.4 seconds behind Hülkenberg,
33:28with eight-lap fresher tyres.
33:31So, Ocon will be on a bit of a charge
33:34to shut down that gap to Hülkenberg.
33:36And I wonder if Hülkenberg might well be forced
33:38to play the team game here
33:39if Ocon does come up to the back of him
33:41and try and defend as hard as he can
33:43to keep Gabriel Bortoleto in that eighth spot.
33:46Yeah, but in that midfield scrap, Harry,
33:48Williams have had an awful day.
33:50Alpine aren't looking like they're going to score any points.
33:54But their four rivals, Racing Bolts, Haas,
33:57and Aston Martin, and Sauber,
34:00all look like they're going to score points.
34:02So that is going to just tighten up
34:03that entire midfield battle,
34:05apart from Alpine,
34:06who are stuck at the bottom of the table.
34:08Well, we'll see how it all pans out
34:10getting into the last ten laps or so
34:12of this Grand Prix
34:14as Fernando Norris still leads this race
34:17in two seconds the gap
34:18to himself and Oscar Piastri.
34:20Ted.
34:21Just talking about Alpine,
34:22we've had the explanation
34:23from Franco Colopinto
34:24on the team radio feed
34:25as to what happened with Oscar Piastri.
34:29Colopinto simply says,
34:30I couldn't see him.
34:31I didn't see him.
34:32I didn't know he was there.
34:33I couldn't see where he was.
34:35So that's the excuse,
34:36but he's still got the penalty.
34:39But just, yeah.
34:40So what you're saying
34:41on the Red Bull Racing thing
34:42is that, you know,
34:43with Liam Lawson going really well
34:44in P6,
34:45Isaac Hadjar just dropping out
34:47of the points of P11,
34:49it's not that Yuki was fine
34:50in the RBs,
34:51so it's not the drivers, is it?
34:53It's the car.
34:54It's not the drivers.
34:56Yeah.
34:57So it doesn't make sense now
34:58to replace Yuki
34:59because it's not the drivers.
35:01It's the car.
35:01You've got to fix.
35:02You've got to make a drivable car.
35:04That's definitive,
35:05I think we can say that now.
35:06Let's focus on the McLaren battle
35:08at the moment
35:09because Oscar Piastri
35:11has taken 1.2 seconds
35:13out of Lando Norris.
35:15I need some pace.
35:16Please help.
35:17Lando, the main pace
35:18of things right now
35:19is high speed.
35:20Hopefully linked
35:21just to traffic.
35:23Piastri ramping up
35:24the pressure, Harry.
35:241.2 seconds,
35:25as I said,
35:26on the previous two laps.
35:27We'll see as they come
35:28across the line
35:29this time around.
35:30Norris does
35:31an 8.2,
35:32a personal best for him.
35:348.1 for Piastri.
35:35So Norris
35:36responding to the challenge
35:37but the gap now
35:38under two seconds.
35:40Oscar Piastri
35:41coming back
35:42all throughout
35:42the first part
35:43of this race.
35:44The two McLarens
35:46going at it,
35:47fighting for the lead.
35:48Dropped away a little
35:49in the middle stint
35:50and now
35:51in the last
35:52ten laps
35:53of the Austrian Grand Prix.
35:55Piastri
35:55picking up the pace.
35:57The championship leader
35:58trying to close in
36:00on his team-mate
36:02Lando Norris
36:02closes in further.
36:03Another few tenths
36:04last lap around.
36:05Speak of the traffic
36:06that Will Joseph
36:07was mentioning
36:08to Lando Norris
36:09on the radio.
36:10That's Esteban Ocon
36:10in the house
36:11ahead of him.
36:12Let's see if he gets
36:13there's the blue light
36:14and Ocon does get
36:15out of the way
36:16nicely.
36:17His next bit of traffic
36:18to contend with
36:19for Norris
36:20will be the two
36:21Sauber cars.
36:22Hulkenberg
36:23and Portoletto
36:24a couple of corners
36:26up the road
36:27but then he's still
36:28got a bit more
36:29traffic ahead
36:29before there's
36:30a nice clear spot
36:31as he does clear
36:33Piastri
36:34in the second McLaren
36:35clears that Haas car
36:37and there they are.
36:39Picture in
36:39in the same picture
36:41across the start
36:42finish line.
36:4363 laps
36:44of 70.
36:461.6 second
36:47splitting
36:48the two McLarens.
36:50The fight is on.
36:52The two Ferraris
36:52out of this one
36:53they're in a race
36:54of their own
36:54down in third
36:55and fourth.
36:56Russell hasn't
36:56really shown
36:57to be a force
36:58rounds out
37:00the top five.
37:01Still that
37:02fierce battle
37:03going on
37:03between Liam Lawson
37:04and Fernando Alonso.
37:06Portoletto
37:06looking to try
37:07and score
37:08his first points
37:09in Formula One.
37:10Hulkenberg and Ocon
37:11holding on to
37:12those final points
37:12paying positions
37:13for the time being.
37:14I just want to
37:14highlight how
37:15difficult it is
37:16for the drivers
37:17who are being
37:17lapped.
37:18So Esteban Ocon
37:19we saw him
37:20moving out of the
37:20way Harry
37:21off the McLarens.
37:23So he was
37:232.4 seconds or so
37:26behind Nico
37:26Hulkenberg
37:27and he's lost
37:28such a chunk
37:29of time
37:29on that last lap.
37:31He's lost
37:32three seconds
37:32on that last lap
37:34to Hulkenberg
37:35by getting out
37:35of the way
37:36of the McLarens.
37:37Such is the
37:38challenge of
37:39we often talk
37:39about the
37:40challenge of
37:41the leaders
37:41having to
37:42you know
37:43lap other cars.
37:45It's not easy
37:45being the car
37:46being lapped
37:47as well
37:47and trying to
37:48find a way
37:49to lose
37:50the least
37:50amount of time.
37:52We saw
37:52where Portoletto
37:52he can pick up
37:54the pace
37:54ever so slightly
37:55could try
37:55and work
37:56his way
37:57to the back
37:58of Fernando
37:59Alonso
37:59and even
38:00try and pick
38:00off seventh.
38:01It would be
38:01tight though
38:02if he continues
38:02on his current
38:03form.
38:03Last lap
38:03around though
38:04for Alonso
38:05it was a 1.10.1
38:06last lap
38:07for Portoletto
38:08a 1.09.3
38:09so that Salva
38:10is quick
38:12and closing
38:13up front
38:16that gap
38:16still just
38:17under the
38:18two second
38:19mark.
38:20The next job
38:21for Piastri
38:21will be to
38:22try and close
38:22within a second
38:23and then get
38:24the help
38:25of the DRS
38:26three times
38:27he can activate
38:28it around this
38:29track.
38:29There's another
38:30bit of traffic
38:30for Norris.
38:31Orlando
38:31just for your
38:32awareness
38:32they have a bit
38:33of damage
38:33on our front
38:34wing
38:34which is making
38:35the balance
38:35change
38:35nothing we
38:37can do
38:37just for your
38:38awareness.
38:40Nothing
38:41they can do
38:42it's not exactly
38:42what your
38:43driver leading
38:44the race
38:44and feeling
38:45the pressure
38:45wants to hear
38:46but they are
38:47pushing on
38:48so hard
38:49at the moment
38:49last time
38:50around
38:50they've taken
38:51seven tenths
38:52out of the
38:53Ferraris
38:53and a second
38:55and a half
38:56quicker than
38:56people like
38:56George Russell
38:57this is
38:57maximum attack
38:59from the two
39:00McLaren drivers
39:01with five
39:02laps to go
39:03blue flags
39:04there flashing
39:05and Piastri
39:06has got
39:07Gabriel
39:07Portoleto
39:08in between
39:09him and
39:09Norris.
39:11If it's
39:11anything like
39:12the fight
39:12we had
39:12in the first
39:13part of
39:13this Grand
39:14Prix
39:14bring on
39:15take two

39:32as we
39:33can see

39:34is
39:35he's a
39:36couple of
39:36seconds ahead
39:37isn't he
39:37so he's
39:37got
39:38a bit
39:38of a
39:39gap
39:39Ocon
39:40versus
39:41Hulkenberg
39:41it should
39:42equalize
39:42now look

39:44it said
39:44it had
39:45gone up
39:45to over
39:46five
39:46now the

39:49it's

47:55yeah
47:57sorry
47:58for
47:58the
47:58return
48:00fault
48:00my
48:01bad
48:01that's
48:05fair enough
48:05as I said
48:05earlier
48:06to
48:0710
48:07I think
48:07he recognized
48:08that was
48:08a bit
48:08of a
48:09lunge
48:09but I
48:10think
48:10Oscar
48:11will
48:11be
48:11happy
48:11with
48:11that
48:12race
48:12and I
48:12think
48:12McLaren
48:13will
48:13be
48:13happy
48:13with
48:13Oscar's
48:14race
48:14because
48:14it
48:15was
48:15a
48:15tenth
48:15and a
48:16half
48:16down
48:17through
48:17the
48:18weekend
48:18it felt
48:18like
48:19but today
48:19I don't
48:20think that
48:21was the
48:21case
48:21there was
48:21an offset
48:22strategy
48:23it dropped
48:24him further
48:24back
48:25they both
48:26had issues
48:26in the
48:26pit
48:26stores
48:27but I
48:28think
48:28it would
48:29be fair
48:29to say
48:30that Oscar
48:31was as
48:31fast as
48:32Norris
48:32was
48:33in the
48:33Grand Prix
48:34today
48:34yeah I
48:35would agree
48:35and this
48:36is though
48:36what a
48:37championship
48:37could be
48:38made of
48:38for both
48:39drivers
48:39when the
48:40win isn't
48:40there
48:41to finish
48:42P2
48:42is what
48:43you have
48:43to do
48:44you've got
48:44to bag
48:44those points
48:45they fought
48:45hard on
48:46track
48:46and ultimately
48:48well traffic
48:49playing its
48:50part
48:51so too
48:52qualifying

49:24like a

49:26between
49:26these

49:27drivers
49:27were

50:42much
50:42this
50:42year
50:42about
50:43how
50:43you
50:43bounce
50:44back
50:44from
50:44mistakes
50:45and
50:45disappointment
50:45he did
50:46exactly
50:47what he
50:47needed to
50:47do
50:48I can't
50:48wait for
50:49the
50:49British
50:49champion
50:49next weekend
50:50the Lando
50:51stand
50:52will go
50:53mental
50:53it'll be
50:54brilliant
50:54Kenny for the
50:55thoughts of
50:55Lewis Hamilton
50:56there nearly
50:57half a
50:57minute
50:57behind
50:59the race
51:00winning
51:00McLaren
51:00of Lando
51:01Norris
51:02his teammate
51:03Charlotte
51:03his fourth
51:05podium of
51:06the season
51:06nine seconds
51:07ahead of
51:08Lewis
51:09Ferrari
51:09was sort
51:09of a
51:09no man's
51:10land
51:10they were
51:11miles ahead
51:12of George
51:12Russell's
51:13Mercedes
51:14George himself
51:16half a minute
51:17behind Lewis
51:17so yeah
51:19they were just
51:19a bit of a
51:20lonely race
51:20really
51:20they were
51:21separate
51:21from each
51:22other
51:22unlike the
51:23two
51:23McLarens
51:23but also
51:24just separate
51:25from the
51:25rest of
51:25the pack
51:26yeah
51:26no
51:27Fred
51:27Vasseur
51:28here
51:28either
51:28during
51:29the Grand
51:29Prix
51:29he had
51:30to step
51:31away
51:31for personal
51:32reasons
51:32Jerome
51:32D'Ambrosio
51:33taking the
51:34lead
51:34but let's
51:35hear from
51:36your race
51:36winner
51:36Lando
51:37Norris
51:37speaking
51:38with Davide
51:38Valsecki
51:40Lando
51:42what a
51:43race
51:43what enormous
51:44pressure
51:45how did you
51:46handle it
51:47and that was
51:48from your
51:48side
51:49because from
51:49outside
51:50that was
51:50just epic
51:51yeah
51:52yeah
51:52was a
51:53was a
51:53tough
51:53race
51:54you know
51:55pushing
51:56the
51:56whole
51:56way
51:56through
51:56but
51:57tricky
51:58hot
51:59tiring
52:00but the
52:02perfect result
52:02for us as a team
52:031-2
52:04is exactly
52:04what we want
52:05and we did it
52:06again
52:06so I'm
52:06very happy
52:06probably the best
52:08comeback after
52:09after Canada
52:10what the
52:10turnaround
52:11and how did you
52:12handle
52:12Oscar Piasta in the
52:14first 20 laps
52:15and how smart you were
52:16at a certain point
52:17when you were
52:17took you
52:18just up there
52:19in turn three
52:20we had a great
52:22battle
52:22that's for sure
52:23yeah it was a lot
52:25of fun
52:25for me
52:26a lot of
52:26you know
52:27a lot of stress
52:27but a lot of fun
52:28and yes
52:30a nice battle
52:30so well on to
52:31Oscar
52:32hopefully it was a
52:34nice one
52:35for everyone
52:35to watch
52:36but inside the car
52:37it was obviously
52:37was tough
52:38especially when he was
52:39in the DRS
52:40the DRS is so big
52:40around here
52:41it's hard to get him
52:42out of the gap
52:43but once I did
52:45I could manage
52:45things pretty well
52:46but yeah
52:47it was so quick
52:47so it was good fun
52:48congratulations
52:49thank you
52:50it was a great show
52:51thank you
52:51and Oscar
52:56congratulations
52:57how was
52:58from inside the car
53:00because it was
53:01impressive
53:01how you could
53:02put pressure
53:03and apply pressure
53:04for all the first
53:0520 laps
53:06was just
53:07something unbelievable
53:08how was from inside
53:09intense
53:10I hope it was good
53:12watching
53:12because it was
53:13pretty hard work
53:14from the car
53:14so yeah
53:16tried my absolute best
53:17and you know
53:18probably could have
53:19done a better job
53:20when I just got ahead
53:22momentarily
53:23but yeah
53:24it was a good battle
53:25a bit on the edge
53:27at times
53:27and probably pushed
53:29the limits
53:29a bit far
53:30but yeah
53:32it was a good race
53:33that's what we're here
53:34to do
53:35try and race each other
53:36and try and fight for wins
53:37and that's what we did today
53:39it was close for me
53:40but not quite enough
53:41so thanks to the team
53:42to have the kind of pace
53:43we did
53:44whilst battling each other
53:45it was very impressive
53:46so I can't thank the team
53:48enough for the car
53:49we've got
53:49and after yesterday
53:51on Thursday
53:51your Friday
53:52did you expect
53:53to be so competitive
53:54to fight Lando
53:55all through
53:56the entire race
53:58yeah
53:59I mean I thought
54:00it was possible
54:00I think qualifying yesterday
54:02was unfortunate
54:03with the yellow flag
54:06and then
54:06I felt like
54:07the pace
54:08this weekend
54:09has been good
54:09so
54:10you know
54:11I think once I
54:12could stay in the DRS
54:13I felt pretty good
54:14and yeah
54:15you know
54:16afterwards
54:16once I dropped out
54:17after the first stop
54:17it was tough
54:18to make the progress
54:19to get back
54:20but yeah
54:21some things to go over
54:23see if we could have done
54:24anything better
54:25congratulations
54:26lovely show
54:27thank you
54:27the leader of the championship
54:28well done
54:28Charles
54:33how was
54:34tell me your feeling
54:36after you're back on podium
54:38I think at the beginning
54:40you wanted to fight
54:41for victory
54:42but then
54:43the pace was there
54:44what do you think
54:45how do you rate your weekend
54:46oh I mean
54:47I rate our weekend
54:49as a team
54:49I think
54:50really well
54:51but unfortunately
54:52the pace today
54:53was just not enough
54:54in the first corner
54:56I was
54:57thinking about going
54:59but Lando
54:59closed the door
55:00and then
55:00that left
55:01the door open
55:02to Oscar
55:03I lost the second place
55:04there
55:05but then anyway
55:05I think they were too fast
55:06for us to
55:07to stay in second
55:08so third was the best
55:09we could do
55:10I don't regret
55:11much of what we've done today
55:13I think we've done our maximum
55:14just not enough pace
55:17and tell me about your Ferrari
55:19the move at the corner 3
55:21was good
55:22because behind
55:23up in the contact
55:24so probably was better
55:26to stay calm
55:27in that corner
55:28and about your Ferrari
55:30seems that during the weekend
55:31you improved a bit
55:33then in the race
55:34seems that in the first part
55:35you were closer
55:35how was your feeling
55:37inside the car
55:38yeah in the first
55:39in the first
55:41set
55:42I think I over pushed
55:43a little bit at the beginning
55:44trying to follow them
55:45then I degraded
55:46a little bit more
55:47but
55:47it's part of the game
55:49I mean I've tried
55:50at the end
55:50and
55:51it didn't make it today
55:52I think eventually
55:53we need more pace
55:54we've brought some upgrades
55:55though this weekend
55:56and they definitely
55:57helped us to do
55:57a step forward
55:59but
55:59we need to keep pushing
56:00in that direction
56:01in order to
56:02close the gaps
56:03with my client
56:04that for now
56:04are too quick
56:05and about the next racing
56:07because you know
56:08we are missing
56:09a Leclerc victory
56:10this year
56:11so tell me about
56:12the next races
56:13I'm missing it too
56:14so I'll give it all
56:15to try and be back
56:16on the top step
56:17of the podium
56:17obviously this is
56:18our main priority
56:19the whole team
56:20deserves it
56:21and
56:21hopefully it will be
56:23at the next race
56:24in Silverstone
56:25we'll give it all
56:25thank you so much
56:26well done
56:27congratulations
56:27your top three
56:32speaking to
56:33Damde Valseki Leclerc
56:35his third podium finish
56:36in the last four
56:37Grand Prix
56:38straight away
56:39that track invasion
56:40happening
56:41a few papaya
56:43shirts in there
56:45I'm sure amongst
56:46the Orange Army
56:47is Oscar Piastri
56:48left to sit on his own
56:50in the cool down room
56:51and reflect
56:51so far
56:52waiting for
56:53Norris and Leclerc
56:56to join in
56:57for Oscar Piastri
56:59though
56:59finish his second
57:00in Austria
57:00for the second
57:01year in a row
57:02he's lost his mates
57:05he's going to
57:06get the full enjoyment
57:07of the highlights
57:08but on his own
57:09for
57:11Piastri
57:12who
57:13couldn't deny
57:14his teammate
57:15Lando Norris
57:16of his seventh
57:17career win
57:18look at that
57:18start again
57:19with Kiri Antonelli
57:20going into the back
57:22of Max Verstappen
57:23an innocent
57:24bystander
57:25and actually
57:26Liam Lawson's
57:27basically
57:27was lucky
57:28not to get
57:28caught up
57:29in that either
57:29and
57:30how's this
57:31and who are the
57:32other two
57:32come to you
57:33that was fun
57:34oh look at my wing
57:37what are you getting
57:38for this one
57:38you see it
57:40yeah
57:40shower
57:40huh
57:42oh
57:42I saw that
57:45probably have
57:45but yeah
57:45yeah
57:46yeah
57:46this one's
57:51the last
57:58two laps
57:58when they're
57:59battling
57:59oh my god
58:00I'm like
58:00oh dear
58:01mate look
58:02watch this
58:02oh no
58:08man I had a large
58:20run in the last two
58:21corners
58:21did you go off as well
58:22well I hit all the gravel
58:24that you brought
58:24back
58:24oh
58:25yeah
58:28because I
58:29turned into the last
58:30quarter and had
58:30the same moment you had
58:32but then just that
58:33stayed on
58:33well apologies for
58:36some of the
58:37colourful language
58:38you might have heard
58:39there
58:40but
58:40I couldn't see
58:41the two
58:42teammates
58:43in
58:43deep discussion
58:44about that
58:45I just wonder
58:45that Colopinto
58:46move for Oscar Piastri
58:48would have cost him
58:49a fair chunk of time
58:50and it was only a couple
58:51of seconds
58:52right at the very end
58:53that could
58:54have actually been
58:55quite pivotal
58:55for Piastri's challenge
58:56it was a difference
58:58between getting
58:59into
58:59DRS
59:00I think
59:00wasn't it
59:00at the end
59:01because the gap
59:01came down to that 1.9
59:04and then
59:05sort of snuck down
59:07to 1.3
59:08at one point
59:09and certainly
59:10yeah
59:12if he
59:12hadn't had lost
59:13that
59:14that time
59:15alongside
59:16I think he would have
59:17been within DRS
59:18so
59:18a little bit of
59:19reprieve there
59:20for Lando Norris
59:21certainly so
59:23well we'll await
59:24the podium ceremony
59:25to get underway
59:26just to
59:27highlight as well
59:28some of the other
59:29good results

59:32finish down
59:32in sick
59:33and he'll be
59:35very pleased
59:36with those
59:36big points
59:37as we
59:38await to hear
59:39Charles Leclerc
59:41come out
59:42onto
59:42the podium
59:44and the
59:46Ferrari team
59:47applauds
59:48and I believe
59:48you can see
59:49there
59:49Bernie Eccleston
59:50on the podium
59:52will be giving out
59:54some of the medals
