So my name is Fais Ahmed, I'm from the Akash. Today's our 47th birthday party and we've done

it in partnership with the Lord Mayor's Appeal. So we've managed to raise £1600 in one note,

so it's going to go towards all local charities. We've had John Misenio, Andy Cullen and great

support from Portsmouth Football Club and the community. It's been, we sold out, we sold out

very quick. There's a hundred plus people in here. We've managed to, it's been very hot,

it's the hottest day. So we've been packed like sardines, but everyone's in good spirit. We've

had Bollywood dancers, drummers, all sorts of entertainment. It's been really good celebrating

culture, celebrating Portsmouth community and yeah, massive, massive thanks to Portsmouth people.

And as it is the 47th birthday, how does it feel to, you know, reaching that milestone?

Well, I wouldn't know because I'm not 47 years old, but having said that, it feels good. You know,

it's very tough. It's small businesses at the moment, you know, people are, it's financial

testing times at the moment. So the fact that we've gone 47 years, I believe we're the oldest

restaurant in Portsmouth. So that's a massive achievement and being a small business, we're not

a chain. So it's, it's really, we're really proud to see 47 years. Come a very much like a community

restaurant, you know, you have John Massinio coming in, a lot of Pompey personnel coming in,

players coming in, you have the Navy people coming in, you know, Pompey in the community,

you have the university people coming in. So I think that whole, the atmosphere, the whole

service, you know, you get that one-to-one service, which you wouldn't get from chains.

So I think that's what's really kept us. I think that's our hidden, well, I don't know if it's so

much hidden, but a good secret of ours is our personal touch.
