Firozpur, Punjab – A local cricket match turned tragic in Guru Har Sahai after a player, Harjit Singh, collapsed and died moments after hitting a six. The incident, which occurred at the DAV School ground, was caught on camera and has gone viral on social media.
Harjit, a carpenter by profession, is seen resting after the shot before suddenly falling to the ground. Teammates attempted CPR, but he died before medical help arrived. Preliminary reports suggest cardiac arrest as the cause.
Just days earlier, a wrestler named Sonu died after collapsing during a Dangal bout in the Dinga Amb area of Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir. The sudden sports-related deaths have sparked concerns over the lack of medical support at local events.
