School Owner shot dead near his home in Bihar’s Danapur; killers escape on motorbike

DANAPUR (BIHAR) July 7, 2025:  A school owner was shot dead in Danapur on July 6 night in yet another shocking incident highlighting Bihar's rising crime graph. The victim, Ajit Kumar, was on his way to visit his ailing 95-year-old father in Mustafapur village when unidentified bike-borne assailants shot him in the head near DAV School on Khagaul Road. Kumar ran RN School in Lekhanagar and lived with his wife and two children. He died on the spot. Police recovered a bullet casing from the scene and have formed an SIT under Danapur SDPO to investigate. Forensic experts have also been roped in to assist the probe.
