00:08According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, President Gustavo Petro
00:12requested to join the organization in May 2025.
00:16Joining the bank represents for Colombia the possibility of accessing new sources for financing,
00:22for infrastructure development projects, renewable sources, among other initiatives.
00:27President Petro has insisted on the need to broaden the horizons of financing and international cooperation,
00:33especially with China, which has generated diplomatic tensions with the U.S.
