00:37Wednesday as a result of the Israeli regime's siege against the Enclave.
00:46Hello, welcome from the South. I'm Luis Alberto Matos from Adresos Studios in Havana, Cuba.
00:51We'll begin with the news.
01:05Several Presidents of Latin America and the Caribbean participated Wednesday in an extraordinary
01:10summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of the Americas People's Trade Treaty, Al-Batisipi.
01:15The summit of the regional bloc was held via videoconference and shared by Venezuelan President
01:20Nicolás Maduro. During the virtual meeting, the heads of state discussed key regional issues
01:25such as updated permanent cooperation plans and the current situation in the continent.
01:30They also condemned the imperialist powers' complicity with Zionism and called to join forces
01:35against the U.S. campaign to tarnish President Nicolás Maduro's image.
01:38They also highlighted Alba's leading role in the protection of the region's sovereignty.
01:43It's something characterizes this time that we are experiencing and from which we would come out stronger and victorious.
01:59It's a cruelty and a normalization of the use of force, of the threat of use of force and of crime in all its expression, crime in all its expressions.
02:20To show noble peoples, unarmed people, defenseless as the Palestinian people.
02:29And Alba is there, bravely denouncing, accompanying the great global movement, powerful movement of solidarity with the Palestinian people.
02:43President Maduro called for regional and international unity among states and social movements in order to build a joint front against imperialist threats
02:53while highlighting Alba's constant support for the Palestinian cause and its firm rejection of Zionist genocide.
02:59With your permission, my brothers and sisters, from Latin America and the Caribbean, to call to the union of all the rebellious people,
03:10of all the social movements, of Latin America, of the Caribbean, of the United States, of Africa and beyond,
03:17in defense of the right of the Venezuelan people's right to sovereignty, peace, self-determination and our own development and future.
03:28Union is what has made us strong.
03:33In his address during the 13th Albatispe Extraordinary Summit, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel denounced the criminalization of President Nicolás Maduro
03:42and condemned the policies of interference, sanctions and economic coercion by the United States against different countries.
03:48So these are moments of great challenges.
03:53Imperialism in its offensive, evidence that has no intention to stop before the limits imposed by international law,
04:03the UN Charter, and decades of resolutions and regional declarations and universal declarations against coercion, threat,
04:13and interference in the internal affairs of other states and interventions.
04:20The announced measure that the United States pretends to give to its agencies to act against criminal groups within the borders of other states
04:36is an unacceptable threat of aggression against sovereignty of the countries of the state,
04:43and aggression also of the regime of peace and cooperation in Latin America and the Caribbean that we have strived so much to guarantee.
04:57During an extraordinary session of the Venezuela National Assembly, its members debated new strategies for defending national sovereignty.
05:05In response to the United States' latest imperialist aggressions against Caracas,
05:09members of the Venezuelan parliament debated a new agreement to strengthen the country's defense.
05:13The debate aims to reaffirm Venezuela's territorial integrity and autonomy in the face of external threats or interference.
05:21Its main objective is to bolster Venezuelan state institutions and ensure national security.
05:26In this regard, Congresswoman Tania Diaz reiterated her institutional support for President Nicolás Maduro and the Venezuelan people.
05:33She also assured them that this new attack by imperialism is a worn-out narrative.

05:51Welcome back.
06:01In Argentina, the Chamber of Deputies rejected Javier Millet's veto of the Emergency Disability Law.
06:07With 172 votes in favor, 73 against, and 2 abstentions, the opposition managed to stop the President's veto to the Emergency Disability Law.
06:16The session continues to debate the President's vetoes through a pension increase and moratorium
06:21and an emergency declaration after the deadly floods in Bahia Blanca.
06:25Foreseeing the parliamentary defeat, the government announced earlier in the day
06:28that it is considering an increase in benefits for people with disabilities.
06:33Also in Argentina, hundreds of demonstrators gathered Wednesday in front of the nation's Congress
06:45to demand deputies the final repeal of Javier Millet's vetoes through pension laws.
06:50The rally included trade unions, social organizations, pensioners, people with disability and their families,
06:55who chant the slogans accusing the government of neglect and cruelty
06:59and rejecting the President's vetoes through the pension laws.
07:02On the other hand, the Association of State Workers called for a 24-hour national strike,
07:07as well as mobilizations in different parts of the country.
07:11At least 112 Palestinian children died of malnutrition in a Gaza Strip Wednesday as a result of the Israeli regime's siege against the Enclave.
07:40According to an international organization, the figure brings the total death toll from starvation and malnutrition in the area to 269 since October 2023.
07:50The situation has been the result of Israeli policy of extermination, which maintains a strict blockade in the region,
07:57preventing food, medicines and humanitarian aid in general from entering the Enclave.
08:02On the other hand, the World Health Organization confirmed that malnutrition levels in Gaza have reached alarming figures,
08:09with almost one in five children under the age of five suffering from acute malnutrition.
08:14Similarly, the United Nations Children's Fund warned that, on average, 112 children in Gaza fall into the category of undernourished every day.
08:27And the Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has officially approved the Israeli forces' plan for a large-scale incursion into the Gaza Strip with the aim of taking full control of the area.
08:37According to Katz, Operation Gideon's Shariots 2 aims to defeat the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, and secure the release of Israeli hostages.
08:45It is known that the plan involved mobilizing approximately 50,000 additional reservists to reinforce occupation troops in the region.
08:52The Israeli minister asserted that the operation will be carried out unless an agreement is reached to release all hostages, as set out by Benjamin Netanyahu.
09:04And hundreds of ultra-orthodox Jews protested against the recruitment of the occupation army in an area east of Tel Aviv.
09:11Protesters gathered in Neibrak and blocked the Givat-Smuel intersection on the Marine Road to protest against forced recruitment.
09:19The local police asked protesters to reopen the road but they refused and were arrested by the authorities.
09:24The recruitment is taking place because the Israeli army is suffering from a shortage of soldiers.
09:29Most are experiencing psychological difficulties as a result of the Gaza Strip massacres.
09:39In Afghanistan authorities reported that at least 79 people died and two others were injured in a bus accident in the province of Herat, in the west of the country.
09:50According to a government report, the bus was carrying Afghan migrants deported from Iran and was heading to the capital, Kabul,
09:57when it collided with a truck carrying fuel and a motorbike bursting into flames.
10:02Emergency services informed that at least 19 of the deceased were children.
10:06Iran and other countries in the region have increased the mass deportation of undocumented migrants, a practice that has been criticized by Afghanistan.
