00:30Israel says it will call up 60,000 additional reservists as it wants to expand its military
00:37operation in Gaza City.
00:39Additionally, they will also lengthen the service of 20,000 reservists currently serving.
00:45A military official speaking on condition of anonymity said that forces will be stationed
00:50in parts of Gaza City where the IDF has not yet operated and believes Hamas is still active.
00:56The call-up comes against a backdrop of a growing campaign of exhausted reservists.
01:01They are accusing the government of perpetuating the war for political reasons and failing to
01:07bring home the remaining hostages.
01:10Meanwhile, negotiators scramble to strike a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel
01:15in an effort to end Israel's 22-month-long offensive in Gaza.
01:19Human rights groups have increasingly warned that the humanitarian crisis would further worsen
01:25in the Strip.

01:30face the threat of famine.
01:36Syria's Foreign Minister Assad al-Shibani met with an Israeli delegation in Paris on Tuesday
01:42in an attempt to de-escalate tension in the region.
01:46The talks were brokered by the United States, who have been pushing for the two countries
01:50to normalize relations amid a recent surge of tensions between them.
01:55The meeting marks the first time Syria's acknowledged holding direct talks with Israel.
02:00The two also spoke about restoring a 1974 ceasefire agreement, which had established a buffer zone
02:07between Syria and Israel, according to Syria's state media.
02:11Shortly after former President Bashar al-Assad was overthrown, Israeli forces took control of the
02:17UN-patrolled buffer zone and have launched multiple strikes across the country since then,
02:21including on the Defense Ministry building in Damascus last month.
02:26Neither Syrian nor Israeli officials offered an official statement outlining details about
02:31what was said during the meeting.
02:32Kneecap member Mokara, real name Liam Ogg O'Hanna, appeared in court in the UK on Wednesday

02:48Wednesday's appearance at the Westminster Magistrate Court is the second for the Irish rapper,
02:52following an appearance on 18 June, after which he was released on unconditional bail.
02:57The 27-year-old rapper was greeted by crowds, chanting free Mokara and waving Irish and
03:04Palestinian flags.
03:06Whatever happens is going to be a positive result because we're not going away.
03:09We support Liam Ogg, we support Kneecap, we support Palestine.
03:12You know, so the state have placed themselves in a stupid position.
03:17They can kick it down the road and make him come back again.
03:20You know, and there'll be twice as many people here the next time.
03:23His fellow band members also arrived at the court, according to local media reports.
03:28The Kneecap have been a vocal supporter of Palestine in the Israel-Gaza conflict and sparked
03:34controversy for their repeated and defiant pro-Palestinian support during concerts and festivals.
03:42They have consistently denied supporting either Hamas or Hezbollah.
03:46Since Hezbollah was banned in the United Kingdom in 2019, it has been an offence to show support
03:53for the Iran-backed group.

05:11guarantees, according to European Council President Antonio Costa.
05:16Costa spoke in a virtual briefing with the Coalition of the Willing Leaders, including
05:20Commission Chief Ursula von der Leyen, following a Washington summit.
05:24Now is the time to accelerate our practical work to put in place a guarantee similar to
05:34NATO's Article 5 with continued United States engagement.
05:39European leaders have been cautiously optimistic about U.S.-led efforts to bring forward a peace
05:55deal, but have reiterated concerns over Europe's ability to trust Russian President Vladimir Putin.

06:18about a peace agreement.
06:19A breakthrough for Ukraine's European allies is Trump's commitment to participate in providing
06:24security guarantees for Ukraine.
06:26Trump on Tuesday, however, ruled out U.S. boots on the ground in Ukraine and gave no specifics
06:32about U.S. support in a post-war settlement.
06:34The U.K. has said a reassurance force headed by the U.K. and France would involve allies sending
06:40troops to non-contact areas.

07:27We, as every Ukrainian, hope that every fight will give us a positive result.
07:34So, yesterday's fight, it was an historic moment.
07:37I think that we all kept our eyes, and every Ukrainian will follow.
07:42It is the end of the war, I think it will not be possible.
07:45I think it will not be the end of the war.
07:47It will not be the end of the war.
07:49It is the end of the war.
07:50It is the end of the war.
