00:10The Reparatory Sessions aim to establish a joint declaration to strengthen measures
00:14addressing the climatic, environmental, economic, security and social challenges facing the
00:20Amazon.
00:21Among the authorities expected to attend are the presidents of Colombia and Brazil, as
00:26well as delegations from countries such as Bolivia, Suriname and Venezuela.
00:31The Amazon Summit builds on a process that began with the 2023 Belem Declaration, which
00:37set 113 goals to protect the Amazon and reduce inequalities.
