01:03We begin with the news.
01:16Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro Moros activated Tuesday the peace squadrons or basic units
01:22of territorial organization in the community circuits of Caracas.
01:26The Bolivarian Head of State reiterated his instructions to regional and local leaders
01:31to implement the first and second projects that were chosen during the last popular consultation
01:37held in the country to move forward with the comprehensive development of Venezuelan communities.
01:42The President emphasized that the third transformation of the plan for the homeland is a strategic
01:49state priority with the activation of new peace squadrons.
01:52On the other hand, Maduro awarded the order of peace to officials of the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigation Corps
02:00in recognition of their outstanding results in preserving citizen security and fighting organized crime.

04:07And in Venezuela, Caracas prepares to host the 6th Biennial of the South under the slogan People in Resistance, the power of diversity.
04:32This highly anticipated contemporary art event will open on October 3rd and will feature artists from countries such as Cuba, Mexico, Palestine, Iran, Turkey, among others.
04:44A team of curators led by Raul Chacon selected works covering various disciplines and themes.
04:51In this edition, the event venues will include the National Art Gallery and the Carlos Cruz Diaz Print and Design Museum,
05:00as well as public spaces to promote access to art.
05:04Ernesto Villegas, Minister of Culture, highlighted the importance of the Biennial in strengthening cultural dialogue and promoting Venezuelan artistic production on the international stage.
05:15And the Timbalaya International Roomba Festival 2025 will come to Cuba under the slogan That is a Congo Cara.
05:27In its 17th edition, the festival will pay tribute to the Congolese legacy in Cuban Roomba, highlighting oral tradition, dance and drums as essential elements of contemporary cultural identity.
05:39The festival will include the symbolic planting of the Siwaraia tree, a sacred tree in Afro-Cuban traditions, which reinforces the link between culture and the environment.
05:50The program will take place from August 21st to 31st in Havana, Artemisa, Mayabe, Quematanzas, Cienfuegos and Villa Clara, and will feature concerts, dance classes and community meetings.

06:37On Tuesday, the U.S. State Department issued new criticisms of Federal Supreme Court Minister Alexander de Moraes,
06:45describing him as harmful to U.S. companies and those seeking access to their markets.
06:51The attack followed Judge Flavio Dino's ruling that foreign laws cannot be enforced in Brazil without review by the relevant Brazilian authority,
07:00as this would violate national sovereignty.
07:03Donald Trump's government office reiterated that U.S. citizens are prohibited from conducting transactions with Moraes.
07:11In addition, Moraes stated in an interview with the U.S. newspaper, The Washington Post, that there is no possibility of backing down even an inch in relation to Jair Bolsonaro after he planned the coup in Brazil.
07:28And in Colombia, the Institute for Development and Peace Studies denounced that the massacre that took place in the municipality of Mesitas del Colegio in the Department of Cundinamarca, the 48th so far this year.
07:45The agency specified that three people were killed in that municipality, and according to preliminary reports, the armed men arrived at the El Triunfo inspection station in the village of Honduras.
07:57It is also alleged that they entered a recreational farm where they shot at the people who were there.
08:04Three people were injured in the attack, and at the time of the incident, two people were reported missing.
08:10The identities of the fatalities have not yet been fully established, but they appear to be members of the same family, two men and one woman.
08:19And also in Colombia, the Superior Court of Bogotá ruled on the first action for protection of fundamental rights filed by Álvaro Uribe Vélez against the immediate arrest warrant issued by the 44th Criminal Court of the Circuit of Knowledge.
08:39According to the Court, the decision is based on the former President's fundamental right to freedom, arguing that his right to human dignity, to process and presumption of innocence have been violated,
08:53even though Álvaro Uribe Vélez remains convicted of bribery in criminal proceedings and procedural fraud, with a pending sentence of 144 months in prison, a fine of 2,420 current minimum monthly wages,
09:09as well as disqualification from exercising public rights and functions for the next 100 months and 20 days.
09:17And Honduran President Xiomara Castro highlighted Tuesday the achievements of her administration in reducing the poverty and destitution that the country suffered during 12 years of far-right rule.
09:33The statement was made during a visit to a hydraulic concrete paving project at the San Juan de Florestalenga Highway,
09:41where the President stressed that the Honduran people still remember the years of crime and corruption of the far-right government,
09:48which turned the country into what she described as a narco-state. Castro affirmed that her administration had guaranteed stability and social justice for all citizens
09:59and rejected the attempts of the far-right sectors to deceive the Honduran people.
10:04The President called all the people to defend her administration's re-foundation project and the country's stability on the November 30th general elections.
10:19The rise in persecution of migrants in the United States has political and cultural consequences.
10:25Many Latin American festivals have been cancelled due to threats from immigration and customs officers.
10:31Cultural activities of Latin American origin have been suspended in this country due to the risk of arrests.
10:37Large celebrations were cancelled this year, including the Puebla Carnival and the 5th of May parade in cities like Chicago and Philadelphia.
10:46Smaller cities are affected too. Examples include the Harrisonburg Hispanic Festival in Virginia,
10:53the Worcester Latin American Festival in Massachusetts, and a festival in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
11:00This scenario breaches social integration and Latin cultural identity and negatively impacts the local economy.
11:09Also in the United States, the government announced on Friday the revoking of approximately 6,000 foreign student visas as part of immigration control measures
11:23and restrictions on foreigners' access to the U.S. education system.
11:27According to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, around 4,000 cases were related to criminal offences.
11:35The restrictions also affected several students who participated in the pro-Palestinian protest at universities across the country,
11:44with between 200 and 300 foreign students reportedly accused of supporting the Palestinian resistance group Hamas.
11:50So far in 2025, the U.S. government has revoked nearly 40,000 visas for exceeding the 16,000 revocations recorded in the same period under the presidency of Joe Biden.
12:03At least 27 people were killed and several more were injured when an armed group attacked a mosque in northern Nigeria.
12:16In the northern state of Katsina, an armed group stormed a mosque during dawn prayers and opened fire on worshippers in the remote community of Ngwan Manta.
12:27This massacre occurred amid escalating violence in northern Nigeria, where extremist groups and criminal gangs frequently attacked villages and religious facilities.
12:37Rights organizations are therefore questioning the government's inability to control the situation.

14:25The Israeli Defense Minister Israel, CAAT, has officially approved the Israeli Defense Forces' plan for a large-scale incursion into the Gaza Strip with the aim of taking full control of the area.
14:36According to CAAT, Operation Gideon Shariots 2 aims to defeat the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and secure the release of Israeli hostages.
14:46It is known that the plan involves mobilizing approximately 50,000 additional reservists to reinforce occupying troops in the region.
14:55The Israeli minister asserted that the operation will be carried out unless an agreement is reached to release all hostages as set out by Benjamin Netanyahu.
15:10The Palestinian Ministry of Health denounced the killing of at least 60 civilians victims of a new Israeli offensive during the last 24 hours as part of the genocide against the Gaza Strip.
15:20Israel moves towards its goal of dominating the enclave as the number of victims in the Gaza Strip increases.
15:28In a new attack, 343 people were injured while trying to get food.
15:33The Health Authority report confirms that bodies remain trapped under the rubble and in the streets as a result of the occupation's blockade, emergency services, and civil defense teams.
15:44While reporting the deaths of five people from salvation, including two children, bringing the total to more than 263 deaths from lack of food and malnutrition, 112 of which were children.

16:51The United Nations reported that 383 humanitarian workers died in 2024, almost half of them in the Gaza Strip.
16:59This record figure is a shameful condemnation that must lead to an end to impunity, said the international organization.
17:07On this occasion of World Humanitarian Day, the organization specified that the figure increased by 31% compared to the previous year.
17:17Of the total, 181 workers died in Gaza and 60 in Sudan.
17:22In this regard, the United Nations reminded that attacks against humanitarian personnel constitute a violation of international law.

18:55Nakhantani's visit to Ankara is part of a broader regional tour that commenced on the 17th with additional stops in Djibouti and Jordan.
19:18The Russian government has reported the destruction of several Ukrainian ammunition and weapons depots along with other areas used by the Kyiv regime to store military supplies.
19:30The Ministry of Defense has stated that the army used precision-guided weapons and drones to attack ammunition depots, oil refineries and workshops where long-range drones were being assembled.
19:43The Ministry added that the air defense system had intercepted three bombs, 117 drones and a U.S.-made HIMARS projectile.

20:01French President Emmanuel Macron proposed the Swiss capital of Geneva to host a summit peace talks meeting between Russia and Ukraine.
20:13Speaking after he and other European leaders joined the Ukrainian president for high-stakes meetings at the White House on Monday and Macron said the announced Zelensky-Putin summit would be held in Europe.
20:26According to the French president, his proposal for the venue was based on Switzerland's neutrality in the conflict.
20:32Macron said France and Britain would hold a meeting with other Ukrainian allies to keep them up to date on what was decided in Washington in relation to providing security guarantees for Ukraine, a key talking point in the meetings with Trump.
