00:00Hello there, a very good afternoon to you.
00:03As we head over the next few days, many of us will be seeing fine and dry conditions
00:07overall, and that's all courtesy of an area of high pressure that's going to be building
00:11in from the Azores and gradually stretching its way towards the UK.
00:16Before it properly reaches us though, there are a few weather fronts just moving across
00:20the northern edge of this system, including this one that's moved into the northwest
00:24of the UK to start off Sunday morning.
00:26It's been providing some fairly light outbreaks of rain.
00:29Those outbreaks will continue to move their way south and eastwards during today, so
00:33spreading across more areas of Scotland, northern England and into parts of Wales as well.
00:37Can't rule out the odd sharp shower for some central-southeastern areas of England, but
00:41generally it's the southeastern quadrant of the UK that will hold on to the best of the
00:45sunshine throughout this afternoon.
00:48It's a little less humid compared to some recent days, but still pleasantly warm in that sunshine
00:51high to 24 degrees Celsius, more around the high teens where we hold on to the cloud towards
00:56the north and the west.
00:59For Northern Ireland, England and Wales though, any of these light outbreaks of rain in drizzle
01:03will tend to peter out this evening, and the night will then remain largely dry with some
01:07clear spells, a few mist and fog patches in places.
01:11For Western Scotland though, we're going to be seeing more rain arrive into the second
01:14half of the night, and that could start to turn heavy over the hills, with quite a brisk
01:18breeze developing around the coast and the mountains as well.
01:21For all of us though, it should be a pretty mild night, temperatures holding up around
01:2511 to 15 degrees Celsius.
01:28So as we move into the new working week, it is Northern and Western Scotland that will
01:32start off the wettest.
01:34The heaviest of the rain first thing in the morning, it will tend to ease off as we head
01:37throughout the day, but those outbreaks could be on and off for some throughout Monday.
01:41Quite a lot of cloud for particularly Western areas of Northern Ireland, parts of County
01:45Down probably seeing the best of the sunshine here, but for England and Wales there will
01:48be plentiful amounts of sunshine right throughout Monday, a little bit of fair weather cloud
01:51bubbling up, quite hazy perhaps for some Southern counties of England, but otherwise temperatures
01:57will be up by a good few degrees compared to today, and we'll start to see highs around
02:01the mid-20s, 26 degrees Celsius possible for some Eastern areas of England.
02:06We're also now more confidently stretching into that 20 degree threshold mark for Northern
02:11Ireland and parts of Eastern Scotland as well.
02:14Still holding around the mid-teens for Northwestern Scotland where we see that cloud and rain
02:18continuing to move its way through, and the winds will strengthen even further as we head
02:22into Monday evening and overnight, potentially reaching gale force strength for a time.
02:28This is when our next weather front is going to start pushing its way in, so still a little
02:32bit of that rain and cloud lingering first thing on Tuesday, but otherwise from mid-week
02:36onwards this is when we really start to see that high pressure building in more confidently
02:40across the UK, and so the fine and settled conditions should begin to stretch to all of
02:45us, and the temperatures will also continue to climb.
02:49But we'll have plenty more updates on all of that across YouTube and our social media channels,
02:53so do subscribe, and we'll see you again later on, enjoy the rest of your day, bye-bye.
