03:58have tried to just accept, you know, he's tried to slow it down to try and make the corner.

04:04But at that point, earlier, if you abandon it, you come off the brake, you have less of a

04:08lock-up, and then you just go across the grass.

04:11By trying to not abandon the lap, he's ended up doing the opposite and hitting

04:18the barrier.

08:27just ahead of his teammate by five 100ths.

08:30And George Russell in the Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton in the Ferrari,

08:33Isaac Hadja made some balls look quick this weekend or expected to be anyway.

08:37Lando Norris having some issues at the hairpin with 7th quickest ahead of Liam Lawson,

08:42Pierre Gasly.

08:43And Charles Leclerc in the other Ferrari, though, he had that crash at turn four.

08:46They will be quickly trying to repair that to get that back out for the second practice session this afternoon.

08:52Yuki Tsunoda in the other Red Bull was 11th quickest than Fernando Alonso,

08:56ahead of Kimi Antonelli.

08:57Oscar Piastri not really finding the space on track he wanted to put a proper lap in,

09:01and that session was 14th quickest ahead of Lance Droll,

09:04who's back in the car for Aston Martin this weekend.

09:06Edward Bartoletto, Oliver Baerman, Estefan Ocon, Franco Colapinto,

09:10and Nico Hülkenberg complete your 20 drivers in that first practice session,

09:14and we'll be back a little later for second practice.
