00:00down into turn 10 you break you trail brake a long way deep into that corner you're on the

00:04brake just guarding it as you turn into the corner that's what i mean by trail braking

00:08you do a similar thing into turn 12 as well such a long corner is turn 12 and then you've got these

00:15fast two corners coming up dismissing the chicane that used to be there on the right hand side

00:21nice high speed core you really feel the g-force going through your whole body you've got the

00:26electronic brakes as well harvesting the energy when you put your foot on the left on the left

00:30brake so it's integrated into the steering wheel and it's you can control it digitally as we see

00:36Ocon come up to the line to do the fastest time of what it's worth so far in the one minute 15s

00:42round the final corner for Carlos Sainz and over the line with the DRS are about four tenths up on

00:49Lando Norris who did his lap on the media car yesterday i was watching Carlos Sainz's throttle

00:54trace property through that final corner you could just see it on the graphics on the halo

00:58and barely a lift through that final corner so i should imagine later on in qualifying if we do

01:03see those graphics watch out before you get to turn 12 a long corner it feels like you're in there

01:07forever even at these speeds in formula one and then you can be full throttle through 13 penultimate

01:13corner then into the final corner i wish i could see the graphic on the halo on his car

01:18as he crosses the line to only go p3 somebody's surprised by that you never know it could be but

01:23here's hamilton on the medium as well so as a as a complete reference back to back between the two

01:29cars what can hamilton do goes faster than piastri now i'm really surprised and smacks with staff

01:36maybe they put a bit more ballast frontwards on his red ball which is why he's struggling with with

01:43rear grip because the balance is just a bit out of kilter on that one just a surmise on that here we go

01:49across all around that final corner like you said crofty on an absolute flyer 13 4 on the board for

01:55him and almost five tenths quicker than lando norris but again he's on those soft tires so yeah the

02:01mercedes seems to be competitive it's there or thereabouts isn't it we saw that yesterday

02:05there's uh i have something hard on my left leg of my seat so i'm gonna just check that uh that'd be

02:12good copy that's an odd one for oscar piastri because it's the same pushing against something or

02:19someone left something on the seat the timing charts that the timing screen say it's a bit slower

02:24so have they to stop it sliding around have they put a bit more wing on and therefore it's a bit

02:31draggier down the straights well also don't forget that he's he's on older tires here so he had already

02:37done a lap and that he's sitting p3 at the moment so you start losing a lot of the edge of the tire

02:43especially when it's as hot as this something i never thought i'd see not on television but

02:47um just goes way too wide there but it's a super little interview and kimmy in a very chatty mood

02:55that that just got worse didn't it for liam lawson went wide at turn 10 and then slid

03:02and dipped a couple of tires into the gravel at the top of the hill and i'm not surprised he's coming

03:08in but uh we might actually yeah so this is turned a little bit wide yeah and actually you're off the

03:13track all four wheels over the white line so that lap if it was qualifying that would

03:17get deleted so then he gets to turn 12 probably still some rubbish on his tires from turn 10

03:22and that's all it took to uh to send the rear out and when it happens so late in the corner like that

03:29it's it's awful because you've already committed to going full throttle any other issue in the car

03:33so just trying to double check it's exactly as you want it can drift in pit stops it can sometimes

03:38get a nudge on the car but less likely it's probably more that the setup's gone out not as they

03:43expect it to thanks ever so much bernie ollie bearman just going a tad wide liam lawson territory

03:49there interesting when you do kick up the gravel now through through either turn 10 12 where they're

03:56the only two corners where you can really make mistakes and speaking of that so i've just been

03:59looking for a flag because you need to see a flag occasionally we've got a great view from the top

04:04of the grandstand in our commentary box and i can see a flag out and guess where the wind's blowing

04:09at the moment when it comes to turn 10 towards turn 10 it is a tailwind turn 10 ladies and gentlemen

04:14there you go it's actually quite normal for this track yeah the wind usually picks up as well in the

04:20afternoons it's it's it's not a day that we normally come racing which i'm sure lewis hamilton's been

04:26quite pleased about in the past because it's also his dad's birthday today so rather than spending the day

04:30with his dad going fishing or whatever they do he's got to come here and work instead and there's

04:34max verstappen with a 1.133 to go a couple of hundreds ahead of george russell you mean for

04:40their second run for their second runs lando norris is out there at the moment but you know

04:44piastri hamilton leclerc russell all in the garage currently and he has gone way too wide

04:51has lando norris yeah no harm done he no that's the little chicane there that's uh the bikes use

05:00that i think do they here we go then riding on board what happens oh it sounds like you know what

05:06the car hit the ground quite a lot there's a lot of touching there wasn't there a bit i think they

05:10were new tires mate well and that was because he ran mediums before those so wow that's uh

05:17well the first sector something had already gone wrong for him so he wasn't even a personal best

05:22there where the driver's doing a lot of work and feeling the balance so lando in turn nine we think

05:27it wasn't touching but we saw porting so if we want to fix that we'd have to box now to lift at the

05:33rear and they came in for a slight adjustment and that's why you end up when it really matters

05:40with moments like this in turn 12 the rear lets go first of all the wind direction not helping

05:45and you just think i'm going to keep my foot in there anyway and that's when you run into the

05:51gravel but it was all going wrong even before he turned into turn 12 yeah just as he started to

05:56the rear wasn't there for him gravel waiting to uh to catch you two cents off your best time you've

06:04probably picked up two tenths worth of performance and setup yes at least four times i'd say on a day

06:10like today and and a mistake thrown in for good measure as well through turn 12 so let's say

06:14it's comfortably you'd go five tenths quicker if you if that lap was clean and you throw another

06:19set of new tires at it now it's just not working probably i don't know what's wrong with the

06:23gas shift they're still taking it up your shift's not working i've got no education so what gear is

06:31lewis hamilton stuck in wow it's odd that you it's odd that you can't downshift but that's a it's a

06:38worrying time ahead of qualifying for ferrari as for mclaren they picked up where they left off

06:43yesterday and it's oscar piastri a half a second ahead of his teammate lando norris now part of

06:48that can be explained by the fact that lando went off touch of porpoising at turn nine on his first

06:54flying lap so he came in little adjustment went back out again tires had dropped off a bit by the time

07:00he went out again so that half a second could be reduced uh if norris had got a full lap together

07:06either way they're a big way clear of charlotte claire seven tenths off for ferrari then george

07:11russell fourth and max was stafford and isaac had just second off the pace in fifth and six

07:15outside of the top 10 impressive from gabriel bortoletto decent time from him and ahead of

07:21his teammate nika hulkenberg he's out qualified him three times out of eight so far this season

07:25williams struggles continue alex albon's got an issue that needs fixing lewis hamilton's got a

07:30gearbox that needs check
