00:00We have got cars coming in, George Russell is coming in, Charles Leclerc is coming in, Lewis Hamilton has stayed out.

00:20It's lights out and away we go there, crawling away, and Piastri getting a decent start is already alongside Max Verstappen here.

00:27Going into turn one, Verstappen ahead from Piastri, then comes Norris, then comes Lewis Hamilton.

00:32Going wide is Fernando Alonso and he's still ahead there on Pierre Gasly.

00:37Verstappen into Villiers, there goes the McLaren, almost touches there.

00:40Piastri stays ahead of Norris, Hamilton there looking for a way past Gasly on the inside, trying to make headway too.

00:47Somehow they all manage to avoid each other.

00:49Out of the loop, onto the Wellington train.

00:51And going wide and into Racing Bulls, going off and into the barriers there.

00:55They're losing five seconds per sector at the moment, those on slicks.

01:00And that's because he's got a puncture, he's got floor damage.

01:02And that car, well, it's not anywhere near a service road there.

02:43He said he had really bad intermediate tyres.

02:46He's got to prove it there, Max Verstappen.

02:48And Lando Norris, by the time he gets to his own grandstand, now runs in P2.

02:52We've got the top three all in the pit lane, all for fresh intermediates.

02:56And this is pressure for the pit crews as well.

02:59They service Oscar Piastri in 3.1 seconds.

03:03On go the intermediate tyres for Lando Norris.

03:11Max Verstappen now gets back ahead of Lando Norris.

03:14Well, spotted Martin because he was stationary for three seconds left.

03:18See on board with Lewis Hamilton, who's down in the eighth place and has been struggling in these wet conditions.

03:24I said he got passed by Pierre Gasly.

03:27I think Ocon went through and then Gasly went through, and I don't think Lewis would have seen either of them.

03:34And that is his teammate, Charles Leclerc, racing across the grass and back out onto the track again.

03:42And George Russell has got ahead of Lewis Hamilton.

03:45We were looking almost at cloud cover, not just spray.

03:48And Russell knew that Hamilton's struggling to get temperature into his tyres straight away.

03:53And he's ahead.

03:54And that is Lewis Hamilton now getting the place back again.

03:56And Esteban Ocon losing out to George Russell.

03:59And we've got another safety car.

04:01And that is Isaac Hadja facing the wrong way and damage to the front of his car.

04:09He dropped it on the way in.

04:11That is quite significant damage on the right-hand side.

04:13And I'm really glad that he's radioing in to say, I'm OK.

04:17You can barely make out the red lights.

04:22And he went straight into the back of Antonelli.

04:24And that's him out.

04:25Yeah, I didn't see him.

04:26I mean, he appeared out of nowhere, man.

04:30And Lewis Hamilton was saying the same thing at turn one.

04:33But you're not allowed to accelerate and brake, accelerate, brake.

04:45And Max Verstappen spins around and has lost eight places as a result.

05:25Has George Russell got enough momentum?

05:27As Hamilton goes wide, he's got the momentum there to now go wheel to wheel.

05:31And before we get into maggots, take the place off Lewis Hamilton.

05:35A ten-second penalty for Oscar Piastri for a safety car infringement.

05:40We thought he might be in trouble.

05:42The race leader leads by three seconds.

05:45But you've got to take another ten seconds to add to his race time.

05:49Lando Norris is the de facto leader of the British Grand Prix.

05:52Look at this ten-second penalty for Yuki Tsunoda.

05:56And that's Oli Behrman on the right-hand side.

05:58We saw Oli Behrman going off and spinning, and that was why.

06:02And I did wonder, he almost collected Yuki as he came back on the track.

06:06I wonder why Oli had gone off, and it was because of contact from Yuki Tsunoda.

06:10Now look at Hülkenberg getting up into third place.

06:51And he's sort of kept tabs on where he was, and drove straight onto the hangar straight.

07:00He made his pit stop, comes out, picks up a bit of water offline, then goes off the track,

07:07struggling, struggling, struggling for any grip.

07:09Tyres are getting even colder.

07:11He's got seven and a half seconds to try and gain on Hülkenberg and deny him that first podium.

07:16I don't think the penalty before was very fair.

07:19I mean, I know it's a big question, but if you don't think it was fair either, I think we should swap back and race.

07:26And that is Oscar Piastri very nearly losing it all together.
