00:39he played a key role in suppressing the internal protests of 2019 and 2022.

00:45Also killed was Mohammed Bahari, chief of the staff of the armed forces since 2016.

00:51He's one of the Islamic Republic's most senior officers

00:54and the driving force behind Iran's ballistic missile program.

00:58Another military loss has been Gholam Ali Rashid, deputy chief of staff

01:03and the commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya central headquarters,

01:07tasked with the military operational decision-making.

01:10Salami Bahari and Rashid were long-term members of the Revolutionary Guards

01:14and fought in the Iran-Iraq war.

01:17Iranian media and senior officials have also reported the death of Ali Shamkhani,

01:22the senior former Navy commander and one of Iran's most influential politicians

01:27was a confidante of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

01:30According to several sources, at least six nuclear scientists were killed,

01:34including Fereidun Abbasi and Mohammed Mehdi Teranji.

01:39The death of these high-profile figures shows the sheer scale of the Israeli operation.

01:44The Iranian Revolutionary Guards have vowed to take revenge after the death of their leader.
