00:00A 45-year-old man is homeless after an arson attack on Sunday.
00:04According to police reports, the victim, a fabricator of Harmony Hall, Gasparillo,
00:09was asleep at his home around 10.30 p.m. when he was awoken by crackling sounds outside.
00:16He got up to check and noticed his red Elantra car on fire.
00:20He told police that he then noticed the two men throwing objects at the house,
00:25causing it to become engulfed in flames as well.
00:27The man then ran out of the home and sought help, escaping the scene uninjured.
00:33The fire service was contacted, but the small plywood home was destroyed by the blaze.
00:38When we visited the scene today, the victim was not around,
00:42and neighbours say he has not returned to the area since the incident.
00:47Investigations are ongoing.
