00:00Since Dwight York is no longer head coach of the Trinidad and Tobago men's senior team,
00:04there would be mixed emotions following his departure.
00:08Here's what some citizens have to say now that York and the TTFA have mutually parted ways.
00:13Dwight York is no longer a part of Trinidad and Tobago football as coach.
00:17Do you think it's a big loss?
00:18For me, yes, yes, it's a loss to Tobago.
00:21He was at the squad way back, and he had all the experience.
00:31But for me, I think it's a loss for Trinidad and Tobago.
00:35It's a very big loss.
00:37Trinidad and Tobago, Dwight York, they have separated ways.
00:41What's your take on that?
00:42I wasn't seeing the results from him.
00:44I'm not surprised that they gave him.
00:47I feel they should have gave him before.
00:49So, well, it was a mutual agreement from what was said.
00:52Yes.
00:53Well, okay, yeah, well, let us try someone else.
00:56Maybe not so popular, I said they might do a little better.
00:59Dwight York no longer with Trinidad and Tobago.
01:02Loss or not?
01:04Loss.
01:05The reason why I would say that, because Dwight York are wrong,
01:09the standard of football sort of pickup.
01:13Understand me what I'm saying.
01:14The standard of football sort of pickup is a good standard of football.
01:19And as we say, we sit in St. Trinidad and Tobago,
01:22and we have to enjoy it to the best.
01:24And that is the best standard I could have agreed to.
01:27Is it bad news for you that Dwight York is not part of Trinidad and Tobago football anymore?
01:32Yeah, it's a sad news for the whole of Trinidad and Tobago.
01:35Because we have to honor we people.
01:38And we do honor we people.
01:40And if somebody outside can honor them, what are you going to do?
01:44I is a born Trinidadian.
01:47I'm born here.
01:48I grew here.
01:48I'm 61 years.
01:50And I watched plenty of sportsmen and sportsmen get no honor.
01:58Right?
01:59No honor at all.
02:01Your take on Dwight York not being part of Trinidad and Tobago football anymore?
02:06Yeah, I think we lost someone who could have carried us much further.
02:10I mean, this time it didn't work out, but we should not have given up on him right away.
02:14He should have been given another chance.
02:15I know there were some issues with regards to remuneration and stuff.
02:19But I think we lost our good coach.
02:22I hope in the future maybe they bring him back.
02:25Because he did well this time and he gave us some hope for a little bit.
02:28It didn't work out, but yeah.
02:31TNT have an international friendly match against Bolivia on March 15th
02:35with a replacement for York yet to be named.
