One exciting thing is the ‘Festival of Nature’: Bristol and Bath host the UK's largest free celebration of the natural world. This year's theme is "Water," featuring exhibitions, talks, citizen science activities, and film screenings.

00:00Okay, so Bristol is a city full of very exciting things to do, from the theatre to the film, from food to drink.
00:08So let's start off by talking about one very exciting thing, which is the Festival of Nature in Bristol and Bath.
00:14Well, the iconic festival is the UK's biggest free nature festival.
00:20And we'll be returning to Bristol and Bath from June 7 to 15 with over 80 events.
00:25All themed around water, including a unique pop-up wetland.
00:30The 8x8 pop-up wetland will be constructed in the middle of Bristol's Millennium Square by WWT, the charity for wetlands and wildlife.
00:39Some other highlights for the festival will include a wildlife boat trip with expert zoologist and TV personality Ed Druid on June 10.
00:49Ex-BBC presenter Ali Vowell's environmental chat show aboard a boat on June 11.
00:56The festival's first ever nature-themed club night, Club Soul Presents, Listen to Your Mother at the Old Market Assembly on June 13.
01:06And the Wild Weekend on Bristol's Millennium Square on June 14 and 15.

01:20Pixel Pioneers is at the M-Shed. Tell me a bit more.
01:24Well, the exciting conference will be returning for its 7th edition to Afonini on June 20.
01:31Bristolans will be able to learn all about practical and inspiring front-end and UX UI design
01:36from seven world-class speakers, including Leonie Watson, Jank Franklin and Anna Rodriguez.

01:47Let us move to UpFest.
01:50Every year, UpFest attracts thousands of people in and to the city of Bristol.
01:56This year's is going to look different. Tell us more.
01:58Well, instead of the traditional UpFest, it will be the Western Waltz that will be returning from July 19th to 27th
02:06with new artworks planned across multiple venues throughout Western.
02:10We're free to attend workshops, life painting, arts activities and street art tours.
02:17Some of the artists that have been confirmed so far include Shauna, Sophie Orling, Hazard One and Dale Grimshaw.
02:23That is another very exciting one for our calendar this year.
02:28So let's move on to general walks around the city.
02:32One thing that is really exciting about Bristol is our rich architecture, especially our engineering with our bridges.
02:38So tell me a little bit about what we can expect if we want to see the bridges in Bristol.
02:42Well, the city is home to 45 different bridges, all of which can actually be crossed in a 45-kilometre circular walk
02:52when the bridges are not closed for restorations.
02:55Some of the most iconic bridges include the famous Clefton Suspension Bridge.
02:59That's where I grew up because of Charlize and comentousness.
