00:00There is always something exciting to do in the city of Bristol, and this week is no different.
00:07With the start of the warmer weather, there is lots locals can do to get out and make the most of it.
00:13But for those who prefer the indoors, Romeo and Juliet is at the Bristol Old Vic.
00:19Yes, the Bristol Old Vic is showing the classic play and the original score with a twist, rap and R&B.
00:27The show is intense and full of the love and loafing of the classic tragedy,
00:32where two young lovers are torn apart due to their family's joint hatred.
00:37But this classic tale is intertwined with rap, allowing new elements to the classic tale.
00:43Ah, that sounds very exciting.
00:46And with Easter around the corner, rumour has it there are many Easter egg sightings and hunts and trails happening in the local area.
00:56Adriana, tell me more about that.
00:58Yes, that is right. Easter is only a couple of weeks away, and so is the traditional egg hunt.
01:04Multiple venues across Bristol will organise their own Easter egg hunts and trails this year,
01:10with some even having prizes to be won.
01:13Some of the events include Easter Lego egg hunt across Gloucester Road from April 5th to 21st,
01:20a colourful egg trail at Ikea from April 7th to 21st,
01:25and a giant Easter stones hunt at Christchurch in Hanham on April 19th.
01:31Ah, that sounds delicious and a really fun way to get involved in the Easter celebrations.
01:37All right, let's move on to something to enjoy with the nice weather then.
01:42So Weston Bar Arboretum is hosting a family trail. Tell me more.
01:47The trails allow locals to become a biodiversity detective and search for as many living things in nature as you can
01:55as you follow along Weston Barrett, the National Arboretum's family spring trail.
02:01The trail has many challenges along the way for all to enjoy.
02:06Ah, that sounds like a lovely one to get outside and enjoy the Weston Bar Arboretum sculptures.
02:13Let's move on to pubs then. What pubs can we visit on our spring walks?
02:18Yes, we're lucky to have a number of country pubs in the lovely villages that surround Bristol.
02:24According to locals, the best pubs include the Angel Inn in Long Ashton,
02:28Hunter's Lodge in Pretty, Swarm in Toggington, and The Crown in Churchill.
02:35Ah, that's lovely. Bristol is full of wonderful pubs to visit, whether it's just for a drink or food.
02:42And Bristol is home to around 450 pubs, from larger chained venues to smaller independent and family-run businesses.
