Chief Secretary Farley Augustine has undertaken the role of Community Development Secretary until a new Secretary is sworn in.

The seat of Community Development Secretary became vacant after Joel Sampson resigned to contest the Tobago West seat.

00:00As a government, we have a couple of things to satisfy.
00:04So one, yes, there is community development.
00:07At the moment, procedurally and administratively, I have been managing the division
00:14until a secretary is appointed to the division, which will be soon, very soon.
00:20But we also, as a team, have to look at ensuring we can also satisfy the gap
00:28that is now created for the people of Compo and Bonacord,
00:31ensuring that they get representation in the intervening period
00:37until we get to the Tobago House of Assembly election.
