00:00Hi, my name is Helen Spooner and I'm a local pianist musician.

00:05Fabulous. So tell me recently what you appeared on.

00:08So just recently I was really lucky to appear on the Bighton episode of The Piano,

00:15so the current series of Channel 4's The Piano.

00:19Fabulous. What was the experience like and what was your reaction like to it when you saw it?

00:24It was an amazing experience. So I went to Bighton for two days last year for the filming

00:31and it was just wonderful to meet all the crew and to meet all the other participants as well.

00:42But also to meet obviously Claudia Winkleman because we see them on the telly all the time

00:46and Mika and John Batiste. They're all fantastic.

00:50So it was a great, it was a brilliant couple of days.

00:52Yeah, yeah. Fabulous. What's next for you?

00:59Yeah, so for me now, I'm getting out and about now with playing the piano and singing.

01:06So I do just contemporary piano vocal covers.

01:11So I try to give the audience what they want.

01:14So if they want lounge background music or if they want upbeat piano bar type of music,

01:22then I can give them anything they want there.

01:26And so I've launched my own business now, Helen Spoon Music,

01:31and I'm hoping to get work in weddings, to provide music for weddings.

01:38So I can provide also bespoke song choices in my wedding packages.

01:44And also corporate events and local venues and local events as well.

01:50So that's me moving forward.
