00:02You're EP-ing this upcoming season?
00:04Yeah.
00:05What inspired that?
00:06And is that exciting, scary, a mix of both?
00:09All of the above.
00:10Yeah.
00:10I'm very honored to be coming back and to be playing Kate again.
00:14It was such a fun role to create and to jump on board as an EP.
00:20It is.
00:21It's overwhelming, but all of the best emotions.
00:24It's been the best challenge of my life so far.
00:27Is this your first time EP-ing a project?
00:29Yeah.
00:29Oh, my God.
00:30So what are you doing?
00:33What are you learning?
00:33Is it a crazy learning curve?
00:35I mean, yeah, I'm soaking up so much knowledge.
00:37And we're still very early in the pre-production process.
00:40But, I mean, working alongside the same producers that we had on the first season that I was on,
00:46Jessica Biel, Michelle Purple, they're icons in itself and have created so many wonderful jobs for people.
00:52But this show in particular, it's not an easy show to make.
00:55If you've seen the show, it jumps back and forth between three different timelines.
01:00And so when you're looking at it on a page, it's kind of hard to envision what the execution is going to look like, which I didn't know going in on first season is just an actor.
01:09And now seeing how we develop these scripts has been it's been a while.
01:14And I feel for your fans, too.
01:15It's going to feel so crazy because I remember like the first season of Sex and the City where SJP started to EP it and it was like produced by.
01:21I was like, oh, we're meeting a lot of business here.
01:24I feel your fans are going to be so extra proud of you.
01:26I hope so.

01:27I, you know, obviously, like with every project that I do, I want to feel like I'm not only evolving as an artist, but also as a human.
01:34And I feel like they've been on the journey with me for a long time.
01:37So I, yeah, I'm very, very grateful for this opportunity.

01:44What do you make of the crazy fandom around the show?
01:49Did you expect it?
01:49No, I, I, I really had no idea what to expect.
01:53And like I said, making this show is really tricky.
01:58And I, my headspace when we were making the show was just very locked in on what are we doing?
02:03And like, how is this going to turn out?
02:05And the show actually started coming out while we were still filming for a season.
02:09So we got to wait.
02:11Yeah, isn't that?
02:12It rarely happens.
02:13Sometimes you wait like years before something comes out.
02:16So we were very lucky in that way.
02:18But yeah, people went hard for this show.
02:21Like they loved, loved it.
02:23Are you obsessed with your character, Kate?
02:24Like do you love her?
02:25I love her.
02:26Yeah, I do.
02:27I mean, she has so many interesting layers to her, which as an actor is like the best thing in the world.
02:32Because you just really get to play.
02:34But yeah, I'm, I'm very excited for people to see what she's up to in this third season.
