00:00The final destination for eight deportees who were flown out of the United States remains unknown.
00:07It had been reported that the migrants, who are of six different nationalities
00:12and have been convicted of serious crimes in the United States, were heading to South Sudan,
00:18a country that once again appears to be in danger of collapsing into civil war.
00:24These are the only eight on the flight.
00:26Because of safety and operational security, we cannot tell you what the final destination for these individuals will be.
00:32A judge on Tuesday said they should be allowed to challenge their deportation to third countries.
00:38They're still in DHS custody as far as their exact whereabouts, again, because of operational security.
00:43And given these are such violent criminals, rapists, child rapists, as I've mentioned, we cannot disclose that.
00:49The judge is scheduled to hold another hearing in the case on Wednesday.
00:52He ordered the Trump administration to retain custody of the eight men to ensure the practical feasibility of return
00:59if he finds their removals were unlawful.
