The breakdown of Ministries save and except for the Ministry of Trade Investment and Tourism has been Gazetted.

Some of the Ministries as you knew them have been split up, like National Security into Defence, Homeland Security and Justice. We share some of the changes you need to know.

00:00The National Security Ministry has been separated into three ministries, the Ministry of Defense, Homeland Security and Justice.
00:08The clarity regarding this move came this morning when the notice was gazetted.
00:12The Ministry of Defense, headed by attorney-at-law and MP for Toko Sangre Grandi, Wayne Sturge, encompasses the following.
00:20Airspace and Territorial Waters, the Defense Force, inclusive of the Regiment, the Coast Guard, Life Guard, Air Guard, Defense Force Reserves,
00:28the Management of Illegal Immigrants and Deportees, Regional Security Coordination, Defense Force Commission Board, Defense Council,
00:36Military-led Academy Training Program, Civilian Conservation Corps.
00:42Enter now the Homeland Security Ministry.
00:44This is headed by Roger Alexander and it covers State Police, Intelligence, Internal Security, Citizenship, Immigration,
00:53the National Emergency and Disaster Management, ODPM, Public Order, Police, Fire Service, Security of Government Officials,
01:02Work Permits, the Cadet Force, the Cadet Force Advisory Committee, the National Emblems Committee,
01:09Protective Services Compensation Committee and the Work Permit Advisory Committee.
01:14One change to take note of is the shifting of the prison service to the Ministry of Justice.
01:20This ministry now oversees alternative dispute resolution, the construction of court facilities,
01:27the criminal justice system, the prison system, forensic services, probation services,
01:33offender management, victims of crime and legal service complaints.
01:38As it relates to the separation of works and transport,
01:42Works and Infrastructure Minister Julian John is responsible for bridges,
01:46coastal erosion, construction, drainage, harbors, maintenance, maritime services,
01:51mechanical services, ports, public transport, shipping, roads and highways.
01:56Every other aspect formerly under the Ministry of Works and Transport
02:00now falls under Transport and Civil Aviation Minister Eli Zakur.
