00:00Another state of emergency. Does it improve your sense of safety? Does it
00:05hamper your day-to-day ongoings? We set out to uncover how the ordinary citizen
00:12feels. Here's what some of you had to say. Honestly, I'm questioning the effect
00:19and efficiency of this SOE that's being implemented. Being that, well, this is the
00:25third one that's being implemented. For the last two, I, in my opinion, I haven't seen
00:31any change in terms of crime situations and so on. For the government's sake, they must
00:37say it's all right, but for we's sake, it don't make sense. In what way? Now, crime
00:41still going high because jump high, jump low, the back door's still open for them due to
00:47their, their simi-simi. Yeah, it didn't really make an impact because with the past state
00:53of emergency, it didn't make a difference. It's a strategy the government has to deal
00:59with crime in areas where traditional methods have fallen short. We know that the police
01:05are under a lot of stress as far as resources and manpower is concerned, but when you look
01:11at how you deal with crime, a state of emergency enables the police to go around the usual processes
01:21that criminals used to exploit through the courts to stay out of the jails. It'll be
01:28more good to stop more crime in general. I'm a bit myself confused as why it will be the
01:35third state of emergency, as you said, in the last four months. Fourteen months as a civilian,
01:41I'm just questioning the effectiveness of continuing the state of emergency if we just keep going
01:49back and the people seem to have some animosity towards it and we're uncontent with the actions
01:56that are being taken place in certain communities that are quote unquote high risk.
