00:00All right, let's go girls. The conversation, well, it's raging as to who should be the next captain of the West Indies test team.
00:07Well, TNT's Joshua De Silva, Jamaican John Campbell and Ruston Chase are among six players
00:11who have reportedly gone through a round of interviews and psychometric testing.
00:16Cricket commentator Fazir Mohamed is the latest stakeholder to add his voice to the conversation.
00:22Some of these players, no discredit to them as far as their aspirations to play for the West Indies and so on,
00:29but can you seriously say that a John Campbell, a Justin Graves, a Jomel Warican
00:36are seriously in the mix for consideration to be a West Indies test match captain?
00:42Well, Mohamed believes that Joshua De Silva should be considered for the captain of the West Indies team.
00:49My top two would be Joshua De Silva, Kevin Imlac.
00:53The reason I would go with De Silva is because I think that even though he was dropped from the previous two test matches,
01:00he was vice captain. He was someone who was clearly being seen as leadership material.
01:07He lost his place to Tevin Imlac and credit to Tevin Imlac because he was virtually flawless behind the stumps in those two test matches.
01:14He led the Guyana half-eagles to a regional first-class title,
01:20notwithstanding the stain of the ball-tampering allegations,
01:23which I now understand is a matter for the courts in Guyana.
01:27But given his greater experience at the highest level of the game,
01:31that's why I'll go with Joshua De Silva.
01:34Oh, well,
