00:00When I brought him home and not even two minutes later,
00:03he's just rolling in my bed.
00:05I realized, is this really what I was scared of?
00:08Where are you?
00:10Are you cutie?
00:11Hi, hey.
00:14Rocco has been in the shelter for over a year.
00:16I've never fostered a pity before that.
00:19You hear all the time, pit bull attacks this,
00:22pit bull does that.
00:23I definitely was a little bit on the conservative side.
00:27But the day I picked him up, you could just see how loved he was.
00:31He was just so happy.
00:33The more I got to know him, the more I was like, why is he even in the shelter?
00:38So I started fostering Rocco.
00:42I love when they walk me on their freedom walk.
00:46From the very first day, he knew exactly what he needed to do to steal my heart.
00:52After the first couple weeks,
00:54I slowly started introducing him to my horse, Spirit.
00:59He definitely thought it was just like a big dog.
01:03I took them on the trail together and Rocco was just so happy.
01:10Rocco!
01:11He's right there and they're always racing each other.
01:16The fact that they're able to relax together is pretty amazing.
01:23I couldn't in a million years imagine a pity being best friends with my horse.
01:29He went from being at the shelter for over a year and brought him into my crazy life.
01:38I called Shira one day and I just told her, look, I don't want to foster him anymore.
01:43I want to adopt him.
01:45We both started crying.
01:48I adopted him and I could not be more thankful that I did it.
01:52I think it's cliche, but I really do think he taught me not to judge a book by its cover.
01:58He's just like my best friend.
02:00We get to enjoy this beautiful thing called life together.
02:05To me, nothing beats that.
