00:07Here's everything you need to know about the dopamine diet. A dopamine diet is when you fast

00:13or abstain from doing activities that can be overstimulating such as ditching screen time

00:19or scrolling on your phone. The aim of the trend is to relieve stress with some influencers opting

00:25for naughty flip phones instead of the traditional smartphone we use today. Our phones have become a

00:32huge part of our day-to-day life with a recent survey from Comparing a Cycle finding that the

00:38first thing that half of us do when we wake up in the morning is check our phone. If you want to

00:44attempt a digital detox, Comparing a Cycle have shared three top tips on how to get started.

00:49Tip one, don't jump in the deep end. They recommend starting off with a seven day digital detox,

00:57challenging yourself to 30 minutes less screen time each day. Tip two, leave your phone in another room

01:04when you go to bed. This will help you resist the urge for scrolling last thing at night and first

01:09thing in the morning. And thirdly, how often do we turn our phone off? Simply by switching our phone

01:16off, we can tear ourselves from falling into the pattern of doom scrolling in our spare time.
