00:00CARICOM Observer Mission for this country's general election says they will be on the lookout to see what provisions have been made
00:06for all those who are eligible to cast their ballots, including those with disabilities.
00:12We will also be looking at the provisions that are being made for persons with disabilities,
00:19whether or not it's easily accessible, signing for the hearing impaired,
00:26how easily they'll be able to vote or exercise their franchise on election days.
00:32However, the CARICOM Observer Mission says that those eligible to vote should not include those who are dead.
00:39There will always be deceased persons. People die every day.
00:44The question is whether they get to vote or not.
00:46And so I think for me, as a practitioner, that we hold all persons who are responsible in the process,
00:57to include agents of the political parties, persons who are working on election day for the EMB or any other body,
01:04to a high standard of ensuring that only the persons who are qualified or eligible, rather, to exercise their franchise do so.
01:15Let's see.
