00:00When you first join TikTok, the platform will look at your age, it will look at what country you're at,

00:08and then it will feed you content based on your demographics.

00:12Once you start watching some of that content, then it will feed you, it will look at your watch time,

00:19it will look at your likes, your shares, your comments, what you're searching in the platform.

00:23It will all look at that stuff to feed you content that it thinks that you want to watch

00:29because it wants you to stay on the platform, okay?

00:34So when you do post a video to TikTok, the first thing it's going to do is it's going to sample it to a few people,

00:41and there's going to be like this performance test.

00:44It's going to look at watch time, how many people are watching that video until the very end of the video.

00:49It's going to look at likes, shares, comments, and really all that kind of stuff.

00:55And then based on that performance test, it will push it out to more people or it will stop.

01:02It will stop showing it.

01:03And there's different levels to this performance test.

01:07And for example, the first performance test could be in a couple hundred people that watch it,

01:14and then if it passes, it will go to a few thousand.

01:16And then there's another performance test, and then it can go into the hundreds of thousands,

01:22and then possibly the millions.

01:24I don't know the exact numbers, but there's a couple different performance tests that it will show it to,

01:29and it will see how it's doing before it pushes it to more people or they just kill it.

01:34And that's really why one of the single best things you can do for TikTok is to make your videos short, okay?

01:4215, 18 seconds.

01:44That way people watch them until the very end, and it will pass that performance test.

01:49It has a better chance of passing it.

01:51And also keep your videos very basic and just simple.

01:55Those, I really do think those videos do better than the complex ones.

01:59I love to share complex things, but that platform is not for complex topics.
