00:00This video is to show you how to connect your email account from Outlook to your
00:07Salesforce account so you can start recording emails or create contacts and
00:13accounts directly from Outlook. So I'll start from here if you see I'm in my
00:19Outlook version when you click on one of your emails on the home menu you will
00:27see here the Salesforce component so you'll have to click on that one or the
00:32add-in and then it will ask you to connect with Salesforce so click here on
00:38production and click on login to Salesforce since you will be using
00:43single sign-on you don't have a user and password so what you have to do is click
00:48here where it says use custom domain and type in the following domain it should
00:55be Beasley.my.salesforce.com once you enter that click on continue and you
01:08should see a button give it one second here at the bottom that says login using
01:18Azure single sign-on click there and if you haven't logged in during the day to
01:30your email or your Beasley account it will ask you to enter your credentials if not
01:36it should directly take you to Outlook and your component should be connected once
01:48you click there probably you will get a message like this one just to confirm
01:52that you want to connect your account just click on confirm and then you will
01:58have already connected your account your email with your Salesforce account now from here I'll show
02:08you a couple things that can be done so from here if I have already created this
02:16contact in Salesforce either as a lead or as a contact it will show on my right
02:23signing here otherwise it will tell me that I can add that person into Salesforce so I
02:31can click here add to Salesforce and it will give me a couple options so in this
02:36case it will create either lead or a contact for Joey so let's say I want to
02:42create as a contact I will have to pick if it is working at an agency or an
02:47advertiser so I can say an advertiser and decide if we already have an advertiser
02:53created for him so here let's say if I look for the company he works for so let's
03:02assume he works at the Terra I can pick that account and he will be linked to that
03:08account here if you see it already brings some of the information from Joey directly
03:13from the email but I can add additional information here so I can say or I can
03:20add the phone number so let's say yes this one and then the title so let's say he is the
03:31app manager if we have any mobile information anything you have would be good to
03:42add in here so once it's ready just click on stay so my contact will be already
03:52created in Salesforce now if I want to log this email that he sent me assuming he
03:58sent me some information either about an opportunity or just about the account
04:04in general I can attach that email so here I can click on log email and it will
04:10ask me where do you want to attach it so I want select this only his contact and I'll
04:19click on save here if it's related to specific opportunity it will show you
04:26which opportunities are created under the account that Joey is part of so you can
04:32attach if you want to attach it directly to an opportunity you can also do that so
04:36in this case I will just do it so you see how it will look like in Salesforce once
04:42you do that so I'll click on save and now I'll jump into Salesforce quickly to show you
04:52how that looks like so now that I am in Salesforce I can look for the new record that I just created so
05:05this is my contact if you click on it it's now linked to doterra if you look here on
05:11the activities I have the email attached to him so this is the email that we
05:15attached to Joey if we look for the opportunity so here I will just look for
05:23doterra opportunities let's say this one the holidays campaign is the one that we
05:29attach the email to so we also see the email attached here that it's related to Joey but
05:35it's also related to my opportunity so if he contacted me regarding this opportunity to
05:43ask me something about it to request the proposal for the negotiation you can just attach those emails
05:50in here and keep the full history attached again the best practice would be to attach only relevant
05:58emails you don't have to do all of them because you know that there will be a lot of communication
06:04probably going back and forth so there is no need to attach every single email probably once you have
06:10reached an agreement or probably you once you answer his main question you probably want to attach those emails
06:18only try to keep these as clean as possible because again this tool is for you you want to keep it
06:24organized so probably you don't want to have all the emails here because then you will have to look
06:29through many of them to find the one you think it's more relevant so try to keep it as clean as possible
06:38um I'll go back now to my outlook just to show you a couple additional things in here uh you have this
06:46create button so you can also create directly opportunities from here new tasks new events and
06:53everything will be very similar to to what you do uh uh in salesforce it's actually opening kind of a
07:01window from um salesforce but directly into your outlook so you don't have to do uh logging into into
07:10salesforce right away you can start some of those things in here and later see that information
07:15synced in salesforce um the same will happen with any of the other uh buttons so here if you have
07:25a new account if these would be let's say giving me um um contacted contacting me from a new company that i
07:35haven't worked uh with before you can also create here directly the account so you have the option to create
07:42a new agency uh or a new advertiser and if it's just a new task again related to an opportunity or to an
07:50existing lead or contact you would be able to do so hope this helped
