What are these four teasing?
Transcript
00:00What are four of the biggest names in country music up to?
00:03Because something's brewing and it's going to be big.
00:06Yesterday, Tim McGraw, Eric Church, Hardy, and Morgan Wallen
00:10all posted similar cryptic graphics on their Instagram accounts.
00:16They're pictures of what appear to be leather-bound books
00:19with a man's name inscripted on the cover,
00:25which also includes what looks like birth and death dates.
00:30Morgan's, however, is his real birth date listed and no death date.
00:33Okay, so here we are.
00:34Tim McGraw posted John MacArthur with the dates November 2nd, 1920,
00:40to November 22nd, 1963.
00:43Eric Church posted Junior MacArthur September 20th, 1945,
00:48to April 4th, 1967.
00:51So we can assume that would be father and son,
00:53John and then Junior, right?
00:55But then Hardy posted Jones MacArthur June 5th, 1968,
01:01to January 5th, 2025.
01:03Now, those don't line up for Jones to have been Junior's son
01:09because Junior died April 4th of 67,
01:13and Jones was born in June of 68.
01:17So that doesn't work out.
01:18And then finally, Hunter MacArthur,
01:19which was posted by Morgan Wallen,
01:21with Morgan's real birth date, May 13th, 1993.
01:26So Eric Church, at a recent concert,
01:30said something big is coming January 30th,
01:34which is this Friday.
01:35That being the day that a lot of new music is released.
01:39Singles are released on Fridays, right?
01:41So we can assume maybe that this is a song
01:46that has something to do with these four MacArthur people.
01:49I don't know.
01:51But if you do a deep dive into each of these artists,
01:54I mean, a lot of them have their fair share
01:56of story songs that are a little dark.
01:58There's also a German fan page dedicated to Morgan Wallen
02:01that discovered that a song called MacArthur
02:03is registered to ASCAP, okay?
02:06And that Hardy is one of the co-writers.
02:09Now, the other writers on there are Jameson Rogers,
02:12also Chase McGill,
02:14who has written a number of Morgan Wallen songs,
02:16and a guy named Joshua Dennis Anthony Bagels.
02:20Excuse me?
02:21I don't know why he has so many names,
02:23but there it is.
02:24And he wrote Morgan's This Side of a Dust Cloud
02:28along with Hardy and Chase McGill.
02:29So those are the songwriters for a song called MacArthur.
02:32No artist has been set yet
02:35as to who is going to be performing it.
02:37But with those powerhouses of Tim McGraw,
02:41Eric Church, Hardy, and Morgan Wallen
02:43all posting, referencing a MacArthur,
02:48we can assume that they're all going to do it together?
02:51I don't know.
02:51I could be wrong here.
02:52It feels like this could be bigger than just one song,
02:55but maybe they're just really amping up one song release.
02:59I don't know.
02:59This is exciting, though.
03:00It is bigger than that.
03:02Right?
03:02Doesn't it?
03:03I agree, Jeff.
03:04I was thinking the same thing.
03:05An album maybe titled MacArthur
03:07with the first single being MacArthur.
03:10And it's really cool
03:11because this reminds me of supergroup stuff
03:12like the Highwaymen.
03:13Right.
03:14They all join together.
03:16Very smart.
03:18That would be really neat.
03:19What would they be called?
03:20The Kings?
03:20I don't even know.
03:21The Outsiders.
03:23I don't know, right?
03:24I like that.
03:25Whoa.
03:25I know.
03:26And it's neat
03:27because they're all four are from different areas, right?
03:31Like they're all kind of generations.
03:33They're all different.
03:34Yeah.
03:34So they all represent something different.
03:37But Friday's the big day.
03:38So I guess we'll have to wait to find out.
