00:00Same old blame the foreigner rant. Those are the words used by Martin Daly's
00:06senior counsel in response to former Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley calling
00:11on the nation to get out of the Privy Council. His statement came on the heels
00:16of Britain's decision to implement visas for Trinidad and Tobago nationals
00:21desirous of visiting England. Dr. Rowley told a crowd at his send-off rally on
00:27Sunday at Woodford Square that these visas were required even when seeking
00:33access to this country's final court of appeal the Privy Council which is
00:38located in London. He says the move by Britain would not only damage our
00:43feelings but our local economy as well. On Tuesday Daly SC told the Morning
00:49Edition Britain has done nothing to us. The attorney-at-law says while Dr. Rowley
00:54was right to comment on the visa matter the rant was unnecessary.
