00:17In a post on X, Aaron said the victim filed a report at the Tampoy Police Station following
00:22the alleged incident at a shopping mall in Johor Bahru.
00:27He said the police will investigate this case under Section 323 of the Penal Code which
00:32carries a maximum penalty of a year's imprisonment, a fine of up to RM2,000 or both upon conviction.
00:40Aaron said such actions must not be allowed to spread in a country that upholds the principles
00:46of the Rukun Negara.
00:48In a post on X yesterday, a netizen said he was having a meal at a convenience store in
00:52a shopping mall when a man asked him if he was Chinese.
00:56When he replied that he was, the man demanded to see his IC.
01:01He said the man became angry because he was eating in public during fasting hours and
01:06slapped him a few times.
