00:10Both Bersatu youth chief Hilman Idham and the wing's ex-co-member, one Mir Safwat

00:14Nakiuddin Shamsuddin, point to the party's constitution to back up their respective claims.

00:20Hilman defended his statement that the party has a broad remit, arguing that Bersatu's

00:25constitution clearly stipulates that they would champion national causes and the welfare

00:29of Malaysians, irrespective of race or religion.

00:33He was responding to one Mior who hit out at Hilman over his stance.

00:38One Mior said Bersatu is clearly a Malay-based party that champions the rights and the welfare

00:42of the Malays, the Prebumis and the Bumiputras, stipulated in clauses 1, 2 and 6, which explains

00:49the party's name, the definition of Prebumi, and its mission respectively.

00:54One Mior went on to question if Hilman had mixed up Bersatu's ideology with that of

00:58PKR, where Hilman was previously a deputy PKR youth chief, before quitting the party

01:04to join Bersatu in 2020.
