00:00Welcome, once again, as we count down to the next general election, just about a year from
00:09now, and we profile prominent women politicians in India. Today, we bring you the story of
00:14Supriya Srinath, the feisty spokesperson of the Congress Party, who also heads its social
00:19media division. Supriya Srinath has had a very unconventional career path. She was actually
00:24a journalist for nearly 20 years, a prominent business anchor, working with organizations
00:29like NDTV and ETNow, before she decided to quit all of that in 2019 and take the plunge
00:35into electoral politics. In the Lok Sabha elections, she contested from Maharaj Ganj
00:40in UP, a seat that had twice been represented by her late father. But she lost very badly.
00:46Despite that, she's decided to stick it out in electoral politics and now faces a big
00:51task by looking at the Congress's social media narratives ahead of the next general election.
00:56How is that social media strategy going to shape up where so much of the narrative in
01:01elections is now shaped? We'll take a look at that.
