00:13This is a crucial southern state, and the only southern state where the BJP is in power.
00:18But sensing that they could actually be in trouble here for a variety of reasons, the
00:22BJP has turned to one of its oldest faces in the state, four-time former Chief Minister
00:28B S Yadurappa.
00:29Now, ironically, this comes a couple of years after Mr. Yadurappa was actually removed by
00:34the BJP central leadership from the Chief Minister's post, as his government faced
00:38corruption allegations and he faced allegations that he was trying to promote his son.
00:43After a two-year frosty relationship, however, Mr. Yadurappa and Mr. Modi and Amit Shah are
00:49fully in praise of each other.
