00:00Well, we are about 10 days or so away from the all-important Karnataka election.

00:09And as far as campaign themes go, we've seen the Congress aggressively attack the BJP on

00:13the issue of corruption in the state.

00:15It is a huge weakness for the incumbent BJP, which has faced a string of corruption scandals

00:20in Karnataka.

00:21But at the center, Mr. Modi and his party are trying to turn this argument around to

00:26attack the opposition, basically by claiming that the opposition leaders are coming together

00:32to take on the BJP for the Lok Sabha because they're all facing corruption allegations.

00:37So it's very clear that as far as 2024 is concerned, the twin themes that the prime

00:41minister has laid out for the BJP will be corruption and dynasty.

00:46But as far as Karnataka is concerned, on both these factors, the BJP is on the back foot.

00:50Even on dynasty, several tickets in Karnataka have been given to family members of BJP leaders.

00:56In many cases, more than one family member of the same family has got a BJP ticket.

01:01The question is how these issues will ultimately resonate with voters and who will have the

01:07upper hand in the corruption narrative.
