00:00The decapitated body of a man who was found on the shore of Damien's Bay, Blanchichers, on Thursday is yet to be identified.

00:14When they arrived at the scene, they saw the body of a dark-skinned man, believed to be of Afro-Trinidadian descent, who appeared to be in his early to mid-twenties.

00:31Police said there were chopped wounds to the man's chest as well as his back.

00:38A police operation carried out between 3am and 8am today has led to the arrest of 12 illegal Venezuelan migrants.

02:31In other crime news, one man was arrested and two firearms and quantities of ammunition and cannabis seized by officers of the Port of Spain Intelligence and Operations Unit yesterday.
02:42Police went to a Talparro main road, Brazil, and searched the home of a male suspect to find a quantity of cannabis, a camouflage bag, a firearm loaded with a magazine containing 10 rounds of ammunition,
02:55six rounds of assorted ammunition, one tactical leg holster and one air rifle.
03:01The 33-year-old suspect of Chamflé in the house at the time was arrested.
03:08A cache of illegal items was seized at the Port of Spain prison on Wednesday.
03:12During the exercise, several prison cells were searched, leading to the discovery of many illegal items, including 51 cell phones, 30 cell phone chargers, 53 lighters and 207 grams of marijuana.
03:27Other items found included improvised weapons, knives, digital scales, air buds, wrapping paper and cigarettes.
